Sesame Street has finally responded to age-old rumors that Bert and Ernie are gay -- claiming the infamous room-sharing man-puppet odd couple are JUST FRIENDS ... and have no sexual orientation whatsoever.


A petition emerged online this week, urging the creators of Sesame Street to marry the two puppets -- but the Sesame Workshop just posted a message on its Facebook account, writing, "Bert and Ernie are best friends."

The statement continues, "They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves."

"Even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and characteristics ... they remain puppets, and do not have a sexual orientation."

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure.

Also, it seems that obsession is always with characters they hope/want/wish are gay.

As for me, Bert & Ernie have always been my favourite Sesame Street characters. At first, when I saw something or someone mentioning they might be gay, I just stared blankly, not understanding how such a reasoning ever came to exist. The same goes for Frodo & Sam. I couldn't grasp it.

Then I saw some documentary about giraffes & it hit me like a ten ton megatruck speeding down the passing lane.

If the animal kingdom is anything to go by, then an incredibly large percentage of human males are FREAKIN' HOMOS!

And since people always obsess about bread when they're hungry, well...

Jeeps! It is common knowledge when animal populations exceed resources that homosexual behavior is observed. Moreover, the trait derives from genetic "families". In other words when times get tough, certain genetic groups will produce more homosexual offspring. It has also been observed when time are not as lean that some, though not all, homosexuality oriented will revert back to heterosexuality. Thus is the difference between conditioned and natural homosexuality.
It is not complicated. I do not know why it is debated so, other than the genetic trait. If a family bloodline has such trait it should be disclosed prior to marriage with the intent of children. And it should be noted mainly to assist young in people in choosing their options.
There is absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever for a young person that is a natural homosexual to choose the option of changing their physical appearance to suit their psychological preference.
