Their constituents want cheap labor and who ever gives them amnesty thinks they will reap all those new votes. Even the Mormon church in Utah is supporting illegal immigration now because apparently they are the only ones joining their wacky cult now or that's who's working at the church's large holdings of agricultural companies.

The thing is, if you never make a person a citizen or make them learn the official language of the country, they never become part of the team. Then in time the country becomes divided because language is the great unifier.
