Cato, The Van Halen live show in Caracas Venezuela was broadcasted by a TV channel called RCTV. That channel does not exist anymore because this horrible government is trying to do anything to destroy the few good things this country still has.
I have a DVD with 95% of the show (Dave´s Speech in the middle of Everybody Wants Some!! is missing). It is a fantastic live show. Dave spoke to the audience in spanish during the whole show. The band was on fire. Personally, I think the show in Caracas and the Brazil gig were the best shows they performed in South America in 83. If you want a copy of this DVD, give me an address and will send it to you.
In 83 i was 6 years old. but i know people that went to that show and 28 years later, they still remember how amazing they were that nigh, one of the best shows ever in Venezuela.
Some people tell me that Dave and Alex Van Halen came here to do an interview for a TV channel in 82, 1 year before the South American tour. The TV show was called " La musica que sacudio el mundo" it means "The Music That Shook the World" I have never seen footage from that.
