Verlander had an outstanding year, and deserved to win both awards. The naysayers will complain that a pitcher only pitching every 5 days doesn't deserve the MVP because he doesn't play enough. The stats prove otherwise.

I'm glad they got it right, well deserved.
I'm not a big proponent of pitchers winning the MVP...but you are dead on VonPa...this time, they got it right.
Without Verlander, Detroit likely doesn't even MAKE the playoffs...He single-handedly carried that team in the mid-summer and beyond...
I hate him...
