yeah...the big attraction of the Black Album was not being able to get it. then, after listening to it, it was like "that was it?"

i think i still have my bootleg LP somewhere.

I highly recommend the Prince Roger Nelson experience.

I missed out on Prince this year... He's canceled every single time he was supposed to do a show in Finland, except this year.

At least there are some decent live clips on YouTube...
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

I think his guitar playing has really improved since the 80s.

Around the 3:30 mark Prince lays out one of the great solos of all time.

Imagine trusting a roadie to catch you like that, he must have them terrified...

I remember watching that on VH1 when it originally aired. I had forgotten how good he was. I still think the best cover I've ever heard was Jeff Healey's. He fracking tore it up! Of course youtube removed the official video a while back for copyright infringement but there may still be a fan made vid of it up. Haven't checked lately. I have it on my ipod.

I find it difficult to rate it as one if the best guitar solos ever because of it's lack of any complex technique but it is really well played and phrased, something I've really started to try and concentrate on improving in my own stuff.

Prince is THE Cats Ass ! Brilliant , quite possibly a mad genius . I consider him a guilty pleasure .

" Pussy Control " was my ring tone for a little while . I like most of his music , however , I'm partial

                      to the NPG era .

Prince has really nailed down all of his music as far as Youtube or any ability to view past performances (at least latst time i tried) a couple years back I tried to embed some here and none would allow or were removed videos due to copywrite stuff..The reason I was trying to lay down a vid here was I have allways felt that he was a giant of a guitarist not only for his writing arranging and unique presentations that are wholy original but just his guitar skills are laced with a complete connection from way down inside, this cat has it, whatever ,"it" is.

                        Mutha, has Soul.

Prince's guitar playing is pure sex.
