in the Interscope pic there were balloons and confetti on the stage...maybe Iovine and the other execs were there for the video shoot.

I notice that stage right has some bass cabs. On the last tour it was all Ed's heads and amps.
yeah, same setup as the Interscope pic. i can't see if there are palm trees behind the drums in the video though.
i find the ebony/rosewood fingerboard on Ed's guitar more interesting. i know there were a couple in the factory video.

It's a sign of how much work they have to do here that they uploaded that clip onto YouTube on the 23rd of December and it's only got 300 views at the moment. Quite a lot of negative comments on their Facebook too, mainly from Americans.

The world has really moved on since the last tour and they need to get on top of things or this could go badly. A 50 million selling band marketed like a garage band is not going to work.
i saw the Facebook stuff. one guy said something "where's that big record deal Ed?" so apparently the Interscope thing hasn't been widely reported.
There is one guy saying the tour will only work if Dave stays off the booze.
I think the footage is from a video shot for a new single, but opted not to use the audio until it is officially released...

I woke up out of a sound sleep 15 min ago for no reason and felt the need to check my e mail. In my box was a cryptic message titled "Van Halen -The Future" That opened to a picture that wouldn't load. I felt compelled to go to the official VH site (why????) and there it was..... That's fucking weird....
Maybe it's just a tour of France only.

If it is, it seems it is kind of easy listening stuff, with an easy, good mood...
Looking at Ed and Al, the beat and the riff don't look fast, "sounds" like something aimed at hitting every pair of ears - can't wait till I hear it anyway!

I guess the 4 trailers were uploaded on the 23rd, but have been kept "private" or "unlisted" until today.
And YouTube video view counts temporarily "freeze" around 300 views.
