It did say to be continued and the 2nd one appeared to follow on from the 1st.
I would think that there is a good chance there is a 3rd part pre recorded as well.
Those interviews were cool... I doubt the discussed time-line ever progresses to or past 1985...

I know it's a good story but Van Halen did return to Scotland a couple of years later and Dave came back quite a few times.
They also wouldn't have been escorted to the border because that would have involved a five hour drive through various police force areas but to be fair their next gig was in England and they never went back to Aberdeen.
Alex seemed more relaxed on this one confirming the theory that like most people he finds it initially distracting to have a few people videoing you as you have a conversation rather than some antipathy to Dave.

It’s a day that changed YEARS of our perception of the band in terms of their treatment, or better yet mistreatment, of its longtime fans…..
Today is the one year anniversary of the collaboration between Diamond Dave Enterprises and the Roth Army…..
Lots of people have asked me over the past year how all this came to be, and because it’s funny in retrospect, here’s how it happened….
On Dec. 26th, 2011 I was in Pennsylvania at my mother’s house visiting for the holidays. She has an ancient PC. I was able to log into the Army (barely), and when I did I had a PM waiting for me with the subject of “A Message From DDE”….
VA NOTE #1: Just so you know, over the 13 years the Army has been around we have gotten numerous “insider” emails, PM’s, etc. from people who claim to know what’s going on with the band. And with Van Halen in the studio making their long-awaited new album, this AT FIRST seemed to be just another one of those…..
I honestly thought about ignoring the PM. 99% of the time we’ve just ignored them. In fact, for 24 hours, I did ignore it. Visited relatives, etc.….
By that time though, we all had seen this... (Army Thread Link)
So I decided to engage this person the next day…..
Basically, eventually I replied “what is DDE and what’s your relationship to DDE”.....
VA NOTE #2: We have known about the existence of “Diamond Dave Enterprises” for several years now, but for whatever reason that night, the acronym didn’t click with me right away....
She replied (quickly) that DDE stood for Diamond Dave Enterprises and that she basically was one of Dave’s assistants.....
And the kicker - She also provided her cellphone number and that I should call her if I had any more questions.....
THAT’S when the shit got real, folks. I sat there pretty fucking stunned for a bit. HOL-EEE SHIT!
VA NOTE #3: I had learned that she had been lurking at the Army for quite a while. And that “Dave LOVES the passion”....
VA NOTE #4: I’m aware that many of you have figured out who “she” is since then. I would ask you, even now, not to publish that information. I do not want her to get spammed with PM’s. Thanks.
My next move was to call Pojo_Risin down in North Kakallaky and bounce this situation off of him. After we both agreed that this was indeed a legitimate contact from “Dave’s people”, then collectively shitting our pants, I re-engaged her.....
The next day, Dec. 28th, she provided me the first of many exclusive perks, a 7:45 video of Dave doing various stuff, and it started a two-month whirlwind of exclusive videos, pictures and private gigs that we as long-time Van Halen fans had NEVER seen from this band. (Army Thread Link)
Here is the timeline of events from that video to the opening gig of the tour in Louisville:
• 29 December – The famous Roxy club on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood announces that Van Halen has been practicing there for two months. Still stunned that no one ever found out about this. LINK
• 31 December – We are advised by DDE to watch the various New Year’s Eve telecasts for billboards with the artwork for the still untitled Van Halen new album. (Army Thread Link)

• 02 January – Exclusive David Lee Roth photos are provided to us by DDE and posted to the Army. Army Gallery Link
• 05 January – Van Halen plays an intimate gig at the Café Wha? In New York City. DDE provides passes to the Army, given to WARF and Greeneyedmurder.. Prior to the show, David Lee Roth divulges that the name of the new album is “A Different Kind of Truth”. A note about the private gigs: We knew about all of them in advance… It was EXTREMELY difficult not blurting it out to everyone, but obviously if word got out and fans stormed the locations, our association with DDE would have ended right there and then....
Since then, the several videos with Dave, Ed and Al just sitting around talking about the old days, the acoustic songs, the meetups during the tour, and of course recently, the several episodes of The Roth Show.....
So if you’re a new member, or would just like to re-read thread as a trip down memory lane, take a few minutes and enjoy it.....
Let me also take this opportunity to publicly thank our DDE rep (and Dave, of course). We here at the Army are SO appreciative of everything that has been provided to us, and of course we hope to continue our relationship with DDE in the years to come!!

I teared up when we walked into the Field Museum in Chicago in 2000 and saw the beautiful T-rex Sue. She asked me if I had something in my eyes and I said yeah, my emotions.
