It will be interesting where they start.
My guess is there will be a first leg of North America. Then they will do Europe and South America. Then they will do another round of shows in North America and then close off the tour with stops in Australia and Japan.
I say they will be on the road (with breaks in between) for a few years.

But I say South America specifically because there are still lots of VH fans over there that want to see the band again. It's possible they may head down there.
i figured some dates would have been leaked by now. Pollstar and Live Nation don't show anything yet. part of why i think the tour will kick off somewhere other than the states.

I'm hoping they stick to what they've done the last 2 times out and go with North Carolina or somewhere in the SouthEast... If it's the Carolinas I made do a road trip, flying just turns me off now.
A ton of bands start their tour's overseas and then hit North America........
Gives them a chance to work out the kinks and hit the States firing on all cylinders!
On personal level I want them to start here but........it would make sense to start overseas first. Plus, VH in the summertime is an unbeatable combination!

The world has changed a lot since they last did a world tour... Brazil and Argentina are some pretty big markets now. Europe, Australia, & Japan are way over-due.

The best way to start a tour in the middle of winter, is to start it where it's NOT winter.
Australia or South America would be my guess. It would be a nice gesture to the Aussies and Kiwis to start down there, since they got cheated out of that whole festival thing.

Dont really understand why they would do the Press in NYC unless it's on Stern. Wish it was here in L.A. but all that matters is that in 24 hrs It's ON! Damn, '11 was tough for my family & this timing & New Years News is best thing that could happen right now. Presuming Eastern launch, 1st show in Miami or NYC for road trip works. I can sell the wife on both of these much easier than a N.C. Actually if it was San Diego that would be the best, semi home crowd yet looser than Staples/LA intensity while ramping up tightness.

I always hope for San Diego. SD has a special love affair with VH that goes way back. I don't think any of their incarnations or Dave solo has done less than sell out in San Diego...ever. We are a little more laid back than Los Angeles and a little more backyard, beach bonfire, BBQ, Van Halen on a long summer afternoon type place.

i figured if Bayfest was on the list that they would have dropped a "lineup announced soon" hint on their FB page. so far, nothing.
i am on a regular 40 hour schedule now so it may be hard to go too far but i am definitely planning on burning vacation days for TO or anything within a couple hour drive. depends on what ends up on the weekends and what shift i'm on. i am not above burning a sick day on a Monday or Friday, though.
that's what i'm hoping. i'm a driver, not a flyer. if i'm gonna road trip i think i'd rather be able to drive the Fast Attack Vehicle instead of one of the Slow Off Roaders. unless it's summer and i can put the top down. maybe i'll drive the truck, i can bring back more beer in it.

Go big....Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, has signed VH to start the tour in his stadium..This will help ease the pain of another season down the shitter,,
I imagine the first show will be in March or April! Hopefully Orlando!
