My very first Vinyl of my very own was Quiet Riot "Metal Health" in 1983. My band opened for them around 96ish and I was lucky enuff to get Frankie, Carlos, and Kevin to sign that same copy. (They had a fill in bass player so I am waiting for Rudy someday)

My mom was cool enough to buy me Kiss: Dressed to Kill when I was 5-6 yrs old. I knew nothing about Kiss but this was the height of their over-saturation of America through merchandising..1978-1979....I had an Ace Frehley doll too. I can remember wearing Kiss t-shirts to school in the early 80's and people making fun of me. Anyone remember what it was like to be a Kiss fan in the early 80's? My pops used to get pissed at my mom cuz he wanted me to listen to Zeppelin instead of Kiss. Luckily I listened to both. Dressed to Kill is still my favorite Kiss album. Thanks mom.Last edited by Guest; 02-01-2012, 06:51 PM.Comment

I actually went to this place while in Jamaica. I always wondered why they called it pressing vnyl. I used to think they cut the grooves into the disk. It's a pretty cool process to watch.Last edited by Nitro Express; 02-29-2012, 02:24 AM.No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

In light of Davy Jones passing today, I recall my first album may have been "Headquarters". Forgot about all the pre-teen years.
Oh dear.
