TicketNetwork Advisory -- New Van Halen Tour Sparks Demand for Tickets
Press Release: TicketNetwork.com – 4 hours ago
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT--(Marketwire -01/13/12)- Van Halen has announced that they are once again returning to the stage with original lead man, David Lee Roth, causing a surge in the sale of tickets to their tour. In the week since announcing the tour's schedule, Van Halen has surpassed the previous leader, Coldplay, as the group with the most tickets sold on the TicketNetwork Exchange this year*.
The high demand has driven ticket prices up considerably. The current overall average price for the Van Halen tour is $260. That is significantly higher than the average price for the group's 2008 tour, which was $190. The lowest average price for the upcoming tour is $188 for the March 9 concert in Buffalo, NY, while the highest average price is $382 for the March 3 concert in Uncasville, CT.
The 2012 Van Halen Tour begins on February 18 in Louisville, KY, and ends on June 26 in New Orleans, LA. The tour follows the February 7 release of their latest album, A Different Kind of Truth, which is the band's first studio album in 14 years.

Well, it looks like a whole bunch of folks are attending this one too....we'll need a meet-up spot...Shoe's, take point on this one also?
PA...lookin' forward to seeing you again...bring the camera...I'll bring the Jack
I'm new here - but I'll be at this show too!
Excellent - you have to come to the pre concert meet-up
There's an Irish Pub upstairs from the Casino. Don't know how packed it will be but we could always make reservations well in advance assuming people want to eat. And I don't think I'm really the best point person on this - Les Funk lives very close to the Casino and would probably have better ideas.
cool - would love to meet up - we're doing VIP for this one - not sure when that preshow party starts, but will stop by to say hi (and have a drink) before that!
Didn't get tickets for the show but I'm hoping some last minute seats will get released. Then hop in the car and drive 14 hrs to see VH!!
ticketmaster says my tix are in the mail!!!!!
new album sounds awesome... lookin so foward to 4 day mini vacay topped off with VH!!!!
Is there a meet-up place? It should be some place at the casino where we can blast the new CD and drink...they have places like that at a casino, right?
They must. I was thinking Les Funk should come up with the place for this one as he lives very close by.
This is my single ticket show - and I am looking forward to some company beforehand!
Probably the Dubliner. It's an Irish pub inside the Casino near the Arena

Now, tj was indeed a major cunt. Indeed, he probably still is.
They didn't much the last couple of weeks in regards to seats. Some upper tier back corner of the stage. I'm going to Montreal instead. Only other date that worked for my schedule this go round. Hope for more dates next year.
