I didnt even notice the guys shirt til Carmine pointed that out to me when I ran up 15 rows to check out their seats just before the show started..The babe ( and I mean Babe) on the other side of me and her hubby started chatting a bit and turned out it was their first show since 84 and pro-Roth..so we started slamming the Sammy years..REALLY slamming the Sammy years...and the guy beside me never said a word..

I took the scenic route to uploading Wil and OLA..should be up in 20 min or so..bit grainy and the focus is scattered a bit..( sorry..trying to watch and film a little) but sounds great imo..

I'm guessing any major set list changes won't be occuring untill a full on second leg is under way. I just don't understand why they would be soundchecking certain songs and not playing them live. Is it just to stay sharp on certain tunes or is it Dave refusing to play them? I hope it's not the latter.

Great meeting everyone at Fat Pig's.... Wrning's still the same trailer park trash that he was 5 years ago....

I wanted to pass on some of the highlights of our conversation with our DDE rep between sets.....

1. "As Is" and "Light Up The Sky" are simply soundcheck songs.... It wasn't said verbatim, but don't expect to hear them live.....

2. The only video being shot so far on the tour is for the shows themselves.... So what that basically means is that if/when a DVD is planned, those plans will happen fast....

3. The blower rant is NO SCHTICK.... And as others have already said, the blowers were off, it was humid as FUCK in there, and guess what, there was no blower rant.....

4. Just an FYI, it was reiterated, no one is getting backstage, at least from Dave....

5. And last, but certainly not least, and this is from Dave, he LOVES the passion you fuckers bring !!

Listen...I'll get to that conversation with the DDE rep in the review. It was incredible having that opportunity...and it was such a down to earth conversation. She was answering questions, and chatting, and it was extremely clear that there is a voice in the Dave camp for us folk...and there's a presence here at the site...

I can't even begin to say how much I appreciate that...but again...more in the review...and you know...it'll take a bit of time...a week...maybe less...maybe more...

Sounds great! The hardest reality of seeing the front floor area of Any of these shows is seeing how complacent the crowd is. People literally look like they are listening to a seminar. It's the only Wrong part and shows fortyish folk just seem a bit tired. 1/10 letting loose from what vids are up, VA would you agree Forum was rowdier last Feb? 84 and before there would be no Order in a VH show just mayhem on every level. Oh well, best shows they have Ever played will be etched in those memories in any case. The old rabid crowd was ruled by rowdy playing band, spontaneity all the way. Now precision playing & performance perfection the rule for a tamer domesticated demo that still love and live VH just express the enjoyment more reserved than old days. Got always remember there are many lost sheep in the front too, still digesting they are seeing VH not the dreams of love walking in with a singer waiting on his 3rd alien abduction.
