Thanks D...mine are 16 and 14, so it's a little easier to just give my parents a shout that my kids will be occupying their bedrooms at their house for the weekend...

although, I do have to endure my Mother's harassment and referring to me as "The 40 year old Teenager" for going to yet another Van Halen show!

I told my folks it's their punishment for not letting their then 13 year old son go see the 1984 Tour in Syracuse!!

haha! You should have heard my mom when I drove to AC alone....grew up hearing how silly and crazy I was when it came to music, esp VH. I think she was hoping I would grow out of it. Once I got the tattoo, she gave up on that dream! Good thing our kids will have a different experience! BTW - I'd wear the title "40-year-old teenager" like a badge of honor!

That is funny Carmine I was called Groupie by the folks (43 year old groupie) b/c I went so many times. I also pulled that card that they didn't allow me at 15 in High school 'with friends' so this is what happened...

We have an 8 year old...but I don't feel I could ask the parents this time for a VH CONCERT Weekend..lol..I am sure I could but...

Momshell I wish we could figure out a way to go...on a quick trip. I cannot afford the 8 hour drive from Philly...I was looking into air yesterday nothing overly direct or cheap. I should try my air miles. There are good seats left..

Ironically at the gym yestesrday I was talking a woman from NC who has lived in Philly for 20 years..we were talking..She was from Greensboro..I told her it must be a sign I should go to VH!

I will be in the DC area the week before the Greensboro show so I'm thinking about driving down on Friday afternoon.

I know the stretch of I-95 frequently gets clogged with miles of traffic jams ---- but taking the more "scenic" route down I-81 would add at least an hour of driving time.

Which route should I take? I wanna be in Greensboro by 6pm Friday for a relaxing dinner and a few beers.

I am a little concerned about sales here also. I have not checked in awhile but last time I did floor seats were still available.

I wouldnt worry too much...Greensboro is pretty laid back city..I got floor seat in 07 at last week..they may not sellout but anything less than 15k will surprise me..And its a Saturday..
