I frickin' love it when Eddie is mocking Steve Vai's Shtick near the end of Romeo Delight at the 11:37 mark. Classic

I would have swore they released a statement allowing recording of the shows.
Am pretty sure they did
fuck your fucking framing
The band specifically said that people can record the shows, so if the recording is good enough and they make a DVD about it, what can the band say about it?
Like I said, my problem with it is that while they used their own audio, they took other people's videos (I'm assuming) and mixed those with the audio, and they're not acknowledging them....
However, if the people who took the videos are his friends, then it sounds above board to me....

"We are part of the, not just the culture, but the geography. Van Halen music goes along with like fries with the burger." - David Lee Roth
HFT... love how Wolf and Ed get it together at the end. Large and f**king in charge. Class Dismissed!
They sound great. It's nice to hear more of a rumble out of the bass amps this time out. Wolfie was a few years to early. I hate it for Mike but I don't miss him. Ed must love that he is up there with him. Right or wrong. They play like this all tour and it will blow away the last one.
You understand her ??
I just thought that video was a bit more than what one would reasonably think would be implied by DDE when they say they allow recording...
OK, here's what I have done....
I have not removed the poster's Youtube videos, since that can be accessed publicly....
However, I have removed all instances of the poster's website URL, where the poster has made it clear he intends to make this video into a DVD and/or Blu-Ray.... And for that, Roth Army will not be a part of any promotion of it......
I'm assuming when it comes time to make that DVD, he will remove the Youtube videos anyway...
Selling the footage is just wrong. That kind of stuff might get VH to drop the hammer on filming at the shows. I would like to see them make a proper live release from this tour.
Women In Love......fuck yea....that's all I gotta say........bring on the MSG shows!!!!!!
It's doubtful. I think this is a genius move by the band. It actually geeks the bootleggers. By allowing everyone to record the shows, people can actually take home audio/video of a show they were at, so where's the fucking demand for a show that some jackass is trying to make a buck on?
There are some maniacs that want every show from every date on the tour, but I'd be happy with a Rosemont show because I'll be at that one, and since we have the greenlight to make that happen, why the fuck would I need to give any money to this fucking moron?
Van Halen is doing the same thing they did to the t-shirt bootleggers back in the day. They're kicking their legs right out from under them.
These shows are supposed to be shared with the fans anyhow, not sold to them. That's fucked up.
Fuck that guy!
just to put y'alls minds at rest, that dude that's doing the vids and mentions a future DVD and Blu-Ray "release" is just a fan that knows how to do that stuff...... I know lots of people that can do that and absolutely do put in the time and effort because it's something they enjoy doing, know that there are fans out there who'd like to see/hear the results, and put them up for free download on the popular websites ......... if you go to his site, he clearly states where he'll post them for (free) download when he's done.....
It's kinda neat how we all have watched Wolf grow up. First saw him during the Cherone tour. He came out on stage & played like 30 secs with his dad. Just a little diddlee diddlee dee. Saw him again in 2004 and he actually showed some talent playing alongside Dad. Then in 2007. Stiff as a rock up there but playing well. Always looked a bit of an awkward kid with extra baby fat. Little pudgy kid.
But God damn if he hasn't turned into a big ass bruiser of a bass player. Guys got the chops, presence, & looks like he's an old vet up there ready to rock your ass off. Lookin good kid. We are also very lucky Valerie is cool. She didn't fight Eddie for sole custody & allowed Wolf to go out on tours with Dad and do all this stuff. Very lucky indeed.
“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”
I was thinking again about the "hockey stick"....
I believe Dave went out there once, just like he did at The Forum show.... Not to mention that Ed and Wolf didn't go out at all....
Man, I hope as the shows go on, they get more used to it.... That's a lot of work, and a lot of good seats, that are taken up to put that thing together....
Fer ole time sake...
Some nice shots....
That guitar would look badass with some blood red stripes !!
