What is the best version of the 1977 Warner Bros. Demos?

Greetings Roth Army, first things first for this first post of mine:

I've been rocking hard for the past few days to what may be my favorite selection of work from Van Halen: the 1977 Warner Bros. Demos. As far as I know they are the most complete and best versions of the demo/unreleased stuff from before the record contract. The sound is raw and the band kicks major ass. But you already knew this.

What I want to know is what the best version of these demos is with the highest audio quality.

I currently have an old downloaded collection called "VH - The Demography". It's a great set and includes the '77 demos. I got it from an old boot site called jam2this 5-6 years ago, but I think that site is gone now. I've been out of the loop on bootleg stuff since then and never really got to be an expert on this stuff. Anyways, does anybody else have the Demography? Is it the best version of the '77 demos?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The best sounding compilation of the demos that I've heard is titled "Complete Zero". It contains both the Gene Simmons demo and the WB demo. The Simmons demo sounds good enough to be a commercial release, and the WB Demos are the best quality I've heard, with the only real glitch being the source tape is apparently chewed up on the intro of "Feel Your Love Tonight", so you'll probably never hear a completely clean version of that unless the band themselves release a copy

You can read a description of it here -----> http://www.vhboots.com/completezero.html

But if you search for the title online, you'll probably find an active torrent seeded somewhere.

What? You're surprised the Messiah listens to bootlegs?? Hey, it's not breaking a commandment if it's freely traded, right?

the best sounding hasnt even made it into heavy circulation just yet. The 40 song demo is still in hibernation....there are copy's of bits here and there. Someday that person will let it fly...

Love the way Dave sings on the Demo's. I like the free style a lot and Voo Doo Queen is amazing.

The Demography is still the best demo collection. It has upgraded versions over the Complete Zero of the Warner Demos to put them sonically similar to the Zero release of the Gene Simmons Demos. However, it depends on your taste. The Complete Zero collection changes the zero demo and the warner demos to make them sound similar. To me they lack low end, but opinions of what sounds best is subjective. Both collections sound very good either way you look at it.

    And, Jamtothis.com is still around.
