Yeah, I've heard good things about Night Ranger of all things, along with Foriegner. Both groups I kind of wrote of as lame. But I'll be damned, if I wasn't wrong about that apparently!
Saw Night Ranger and Foriegner too. Both bands were great live. Back in the good old days when general admission was $10 and usually they would do a local radio show the day of the concert. Once I had my driver's license we were always going to Boise State or Idaho State to see concerts.

I've seen Loverboy, Foreigner and Night Ranger all in the past year and all were good. Foreigner was great, in fact. All three bands sound as good or better than they did back in the day and Brad Gillis alone was worth the price of admission to the NR show.

Honestly, I am really ok with Foreigner's lineup. I saw them back in the day and though only four guys were pictured on the album cover, there were like seven guys on stage, so the lineup was somewhat fluid. I also think Kelly Hansen is a phenomenal singer, better than Lou Gramm live and they have made a really good album recently.

Damn it's some salty salt -- a little goes a long way but it's flaky enough to disappear on the tongue. That photo was from May 24th, 2003. And it was from a FREE concert during Speed Street here in Charlotte. He was the last one to perform and when his show ended it was synched up with the fireworks the city shot off, right at the end of Jump. I took a chick for our first date. It rained during the entire performance and we stood outside with about 3000 people. And I banged her half to death when we got home. Thanks Dave!

Only Sam would make sea salt for human consumption from sea water off shore in a country that dumps raw sewage into the ocean. I remember floating out in the ocean in Mexico. The sun is going down, it's a beautiful sunset and I start to smell something sour. I find I'm floating in raw sewage! I bee line it for the hotel and take the longest shower I ever took in my life. A walk down the beach the next morning confirmed the problem. Garbage and sewage was rushing down every creek flowing into the ocean.

San Diego actually financed and built Tijuana a sewer treatment plant because their sewage was floating north and contaminating San Diego's beaches.

As for Hagar, when he toured Australia in the late 90s, he was unable to fill a pub in Adelaide called The Bridgeway...a little dive out in the northern suburbs of our city. Not a bad venue...I once saw Jimmy Barnes there and he rocked.
YES! Just how it happened when I save Double D at the Minnesota State Fair in 2001. Dave rocking out to Jump in a banana yellow jumpsuit - doing the splits off the drum riser as a half a million worth of fireworks goes off overhead. Still the best version of Jump I've witnessed. Dave closed out the week of festivities - everyone was jazzed about that show as we filed out, and the grandstand there seats a helluva lot of people - and it was PACKED! I've got pics somewhere, might have to see if I can dig them up.
