I just watched it...
Dude, that is fucking fake as all get out...
It's the same thing as "I'm gonna fuck your girlfriend pal."
I got ten bucks that says this ain't the last time we see that shtick...
Yeah, and people used to just randomly squirt water at Dave too...
Oh yeah, that's proof...
Thanks to Elvis for filling in the 'Dave Hagar Fan' role that has been clearly missed in the forums...
Dave's fight rant is much better than the recent Dave Grohl fight rant where he said 'people come to our shows to dance, not fight'... that was kinda gay.
I love how Dave clearly risks taking a face plant with some of those crazy dance floor spins. That's the kind of caution to the wind that no one else in rock and roll even has a clue how to exhibit. That man is thee man! Awesome version of The Full Bug.
I actually saw Tom Araya of Slayer stop a song & do this rant once in San Diego because the mosh pit got TOO crazy dangerous. WTF San Diego? How in the fuck do you make a Slayer mosh pit too crazy for even the band? Serious biz. People were being carried out on stretchers (no joke). I actually think Slayer was banned by the mayor or city council from playing in San Diego county or city limits for several years because they had to play just over the border in Tijuana the next few tours.
Testing out the Tweet embed thing, never knew that until last night, very convenient....
Funny, now he "stops fight", WTF ??

Eat Us And Smile - The Originals
"I have a very belligerent enthusiasm or an enthusiastic belligerence. I’m an intellectual slut." - David Lee Roth
"We are part of the, not just the culture, but the geography. Van Halen music goes along with like fries with the burger." - David Lee Roth
Does everyone know (or even care) that Al & Ed are on twitter now?
I think after enough years of watching Diamond Dave, we can pretty much tell when it's schtick and when it's real. That seemed very unscripted to me - and the video appears to be proof of security escorting people away. Dave may drop the F-bomb from time to time, but that many times in a row indicates he's seriously pissed. One last point: I agree with most everyone else - who the hell fights during 'Pretty Woman'? A Van Halen show is about having a good time, and there isn't a more harmless tune with less adrenaline than PW. I would be fine with it if they dropped it from the set-list forever. I certainly wouldn't start throwing punches when they play. What a couple of douches.
Great show all around - kudos to those who saw this one live!
My karma just ran over your dogma.
I was wiped out from last night!! thank you for posting my video link here....im not impressed with my upload render job at 1am as I kept falling asleep while it was crunching!! the show was awesome!!! shot the whole thing from the back
you dumbass dogfucker!!
RATBASTARD/BY THE BOTTLE productions
Funny story. Me & a buddy would go to a lot of shows. Slayer, Quiet Riot, Ratt, Megadeth....
Well 1 night I got a bit too drunk & a bit too big for my own britches. He pissed me off so I started to fight him. (luckily he knew I was hammered & did not reciprocate. Outweighed me by a lot). Anyways, I tried to scrap with him. Not at Slayer....Not at Megadeth...but at the fucking Men At Work concert!
Go figure. 'Who Can It Be Now' brings out the devil in me
(hennemusic) David Lee Roth laid down the law Tuesday night at a Van Halen tour stop in New Hampshire when things got out of hand in the audience.
During Van Halen's performance of the Roy Orbison classic, "(Oh) Pretty Woman," at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, a fight broke out amongst fans in the front section of the floor.
Roth stopped the band and dealt with the issue. "Knock off the f-ing fighting. F- you!," declared Roth from center stage, to the applause of fans. "What do you think this is, a f-ing mosh pit? You've got all the best looking women on the f-ing east coast here and all you can f-ing think of is f-ing fighting?!?"
"Ladies, I'm on your side, yeah," Dave added, to more applause. Fans reports say that venue security stepped in to clean up the mess, as Roth instructed the band to restart the song. "Alex...start it back at the top...let's do the whole thing over again."
Overkill is a great tune!
