Hey, if I recall correctly so far I've said that from what I've heard they have avoided the p word (although I feared that they - like pretty much every other 'reunion' act - would fall prey to it).


Perhaps I'll start using other pretentious words that begin with 'p'. First up: 'pathos'. Not sure I'll be able to get that in a CVH review, however

That's what I was thinking. Clips ended just when things were reving up !! I think we have a winner !! Some people will slam it for using old rifffs and songs, but so what !! It's their songs. I would rather have the original demo's released as a bonus disc remastered and the new song's all new stuff but fuck i'll take this any day. I noticed the album title is a lyric in Bullethead. That song definitely has Wolf on the backing vocals. Hard to say I've heard his voice anywhere else yet.

The night of Cafe Wha? when Dave was signing autographs out front, he told someone the album title. It struck me as very plain and straight forward, but just like the song Tattoo, it has grown on me. It's a mature title for sure. Remember all of the guesses? Full Steam Ahead and about a dozen or so ham-fisted train references. We're so silly.

Reminds me of "Don't Tell Me What Love Can Do". Don't hammer me too hard for that opinion...just a thinking out loud observation. Even if it is a Haggis leftover, it's going to sound MUCH better with Dave's lyrics and voice on the track. After all, it wouldn't be the first time Dave sang over a Van Hagar leftover (BOV1 tracks), and they turned out pretty damn good.

I love the album title... it's deep. To me, A Different Kind of Truth is what we would have known had the band never split. Therefore, we are now getting a different kind of truth, and the selective amnesia in a heartbeat will rid us of the Sam years, which won't be hard for those of us that have only heard what we've had to endure at the grocery store, lol. Can't rave about Wolf enough, and I'm grinning from ear to ear reading the posts by the same people that slammed the kid in 07/8. He replied to someone's tweet that he started playing guitar at 9, drums at 10, and bass at 15. That means he had only been playing for one year when he stood in front of us last time...that's freaking UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I hope on the tour, Uncle Al lets us hear him on drums a bit, that's his favourite.
