At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about using a bunch of old demos for the new record. I never felt it was plagiarism, because its their own stuff, but I didn't know how it would work. Hearing all of this now, though, I think it's absolutely fuckin' brilliant. So many bands try to go back and "recapture" the old sound. How many Stones albums in a row now do we hear that they are trying to make a "classic Stones sounding" record? There are some good efforts in there, but it always falls short.
But when you've been waiting 28 years and you've got an unreleased catalog like this...what a great move. Wow. Just fuckin' WOW!
