Is this for real? Never heard of it nor of them covering Robin Trower...

One of my favorite of their covers. There's another amazing version of it, only partial unfortunately. Golden West Ballroom '76, just as they end the Rover.

Pretty certain this is from the Pasadena Hilton - June 13, 1975 bootleg, originally recorded at Pasadena Convention Center, Pasadena, CA. And of course, "appropriated" (read-stolen) by this Gossett fellow and passed of as his own work.

Exactly. Who is that guy? I got a great version of VH doing Tommy Bolin's The Grind off of his site and he's got "Chris Gossett.com" spoken through it every 30 seconds or so.

Surprised you haven't heard that. There's plenty of hidden gems in the old recordings.

Yeah, I love Trower as well, so you can imagine my shock and delight when Calloway golf used "The Fool And Me" for a series of commercials about 4 or 5 years ago. Sadly, I can't find any of them on the net.

My buddies band opened for Robin about 15 years ago. Nice guy. Signed some shit for me. Jimmy Dewar was a amazing singer on those early albums.
