Is the opening line, "Headless body in a topless bar"? Dear lord. Our Dave invented the business of kicking ass!

“The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.”― Stephen Hawking
That song is all kinds of badass. Period. I was wondering why they seem to be releasing clip after clip. But now I think they are showing people just how hungry this band is. How relevant this band (still) is. And how the Round-Rocker with the three mop top is going to be eating his words... among other things.
The song itself reminds me of Romeo Delight, and Hang 'em High as other have said. But the intro (to the clip) sounds like Ed and Wolfie doing the Hot for Teacher intro. Or more specifically, an intro Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan would do.
Bottom line: every song clip released keeps getting better, meaner, and more badass!
Eat Us and Smile!
WHAT THE FUCK INTRO SOUNDS AMAZING!! kinda like some Vai stuff BUT VAN HALENISED!!
I had some crazy vision, one I can't deny it
It said "Open your eyes. Leave it all behind."
Chinatown kicks some SERIOUS SERIOUS ass , it's even better than EEAS ! im very happy with this ! i dont mind the sampled old 1978 screams, it delivers !
This album is going to tear people's faces off!!!!
Yeah. No way it could be the same man with the same vocal chords making the same "whoo" sound.
Um....it's Dave going "whoo". I'm fairly confident he can still produce that simple sound. Now, if he were to try & replicate the beginning intro long scream in Unchained 30 years later you may have a point. I just can't see him taking a simple "whoo" from an old tune because he is unable to make an acceptable sounding one now.
“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”
believe it or not , i compared them side to side , same thing i did back in 2003 with shoobop and thug pop , maybe they added that as a homage or something
Love this tune. Kickin ass a nd taking names in 2012!!!
Trolls take heed...LOG OUT & FUCK OFF!!!
This is the first song I've heard that I didn't have to think about whether I liked it or not.
It sounds really good, fast paced and kicking ass.
I'm hoping there are more songs like this on the cd.
Sounds fun!
I'm pretty sure that's Ozzy singing the words China Town!
LOL. Just fucking with the nitpickers.
But it does sound like Ozzy on the chorus!

Same ole song and dance...
Holy fuckin' shit!!!!
....carry on
ahhhh...smells like Van Halen up in here!!
Totally blown away!
those are basic screams for Dave and screams he has done for a while, some which he did on occasion during the 2007-2008...do not know why they would bother to sample something he can still do...seriously. Now if I heard him go off like he did at the end of something like Easy Street, then I would put some validity to what you just said about sampling. Nah, going WHoooo and such is pretty simple still for Dave.
I'm in a loss for words.... how the fuck does a band not record in 25+ years and sound louder & heavier than they did back in the day? Fucking amazing!

Holy shit!!!! This record was definitely worth the wait! This song is just too bad ass....
American by birth. Southern by the grace of God.
Brutal.
They could open with China Town.
As this album is so killer, I think it's likely this will be a tour featuring the music of the new disc - rather than a setlist dominated by CVH with only 3 or 4 new tracks. So 50/50 perhaps? I knew they would put out a very good album - I didn't want to allow myself to think it would be a classic to try and avoid expectations getting out of control. I think it's pretty clear now that ADKOT will be a classic.
I'm going to say it right now...just based on the tunes we've heard so far, this album is going to be better than at least one album of the 6 pack, Diver Down or 1984. Possibly top 3, even.

Little Texan - you're could be right - but I don't want to bring myself to admit it.
Eat Us And Smile - The Originals
"I have a very belligerent enthusiasm or an enthusiastic belligerence. I’m an intellectual slut." - David Lee Roth
"We are part of the, not just the culture, but the geography. Van Halen music goes along with like fries with the burger." - David Lee Roth
And here I was having doubts as to whether Ed and Dave still had enough left in the tank to make a decent album. I think it's safe to say at this point that they have FAR exceeded expectations, and then some! Why did I ever doubt Ed and Dave? They have never let us down yet! Are them two as a team even capable of making bad music?
Oh, and since we've already heard at least three songs that aren't created from old songs (The Trouble With Never, Stay Frosty, and China Town), Sammy is officially full of shit claiming that the whole album isn't anything but old stuff.
