You Wear It Well This song features a stellar tapping intro that sounds like an extraterrestrial on acid!
That was a description of a tentative song from '99, but the description sounds like it could be what became china town.
mother fuck! This tune kicks some ASS!
oh yeah!
It humps my fucking rope!
That video is only 2:37
The real version is 3:14

Pretty huge fail on the attempt to cover up the fade out. If someone's going to make a fake, at least make it sound like you're trying!
Kick Assssss
Have I mentioned lately that I think this song is bad asssssssssssssssssssssss? It's tracks like this that make us remember why Spicoli hired Van Halen to play his birthday after saving Brooke Shields from drowning.
My karma just ran over your dogma.
Spicoli was a smart dude.......Aloha Mr. Hand...............This track shreds....I think Ed was out to prove something on this album cuz this shit sounds heavy...."AS IS" smokes too. Dave's vocals are killer
I wish the boys would open the show with this one...you know the big guitar and drum intro of a VH show, and then Eddie and Wolf kick off that intro and boom!!! There's a barn burner of a show starter. I am so excited about getting this new record...cmon Tuesday. The solo Eddie takes on China Town fades out right as it starts and its driving me crazy!!! It kinda reminds me of the Sinners Swing! solo maybe....cant wait to hear!!!
Anyone got the chorus down yet? It's not on the lyric sheet.
"Welcome to China Town,
???????????????????????
well you're in our town now?
Duh!
Damn I can just picture Dave back in the day during this track running & jumping all over the stage!!
yup - I'm hearing what ashtralia said - "well you're in our town now"
any idea what Dave means by "you painted daughters of the tong underground" ?
Time to learn from Professor Dave again!
Stay Frosty!
THE DAY IS DONZO LET'S HAVE SOME FUNZO!!
Pleeze post da lyrics...and stay away from the cabo wabo tequila. Sober? Close enough!!!
They need to submit this song to the academy when they are considering nominees for the '2012 Best Bassist' award
This song is seriously good...
Heavy lifting as Dave would say...
Hottest tune since Romeo Delight...
Gives the listener a totally different image of David Lee Roth than the shoe shine boy in overalls and cap...
Ed sounds like Dimebag trying to play like Ed in the solo section. Love this solo.
I love the switch to half time before the solo, the truncated end to the solo and the berserk drumming in the final chorus. But hey, if Sammy says they're uninspired, they must have found some way to phone all of that inspired playing in. Such an ass.
Dude, did Roth change the lyrics on the record or something?
1. A buck is still a buck in Shanghai sometimes a buck is all you earn (This is what dave has written in the CD)
Okay, I know he says a buck is still a buck in Shanghai but what does he say after that? It sounds nothing like what he has written down!
2. Also, why did he leave out the chorus lyric? What does he say after "Welcome to Chinatown?"
I am baffled why he left that lyric out... GREAT song though!
Listen to it in mono...
Listen to it Mono, Hear it thin
Listen to it in stereo, that low end belongs to meeeeee.
For the love of Dave in a loin cloth does anyone know what the lyric is after to "Welcome to Chinatown?" It's driving me crazy... I'm singing the first part and have to stop because I can't figure out what he is saying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's songs like this that make me so happy I just bought a monster new speaker set up last month. God damn I am single handedly bringing down the properties values up in this bitch! Shit is LOUD! I don't want to hear this song quietly! I don't want to hear it on little computer speakers or even in the car. I want all the angry woofers and tweeters and that fuckin' 12 incher pounding out the bass and drums. I'm addicted to the Brown Sound and I love it!
I can't believe it! It's real Van Halen again.
gnaw on it
