The Official Van Halen, "Blood and Fire" review thread
2nd lyrics... now that i've heard the FULL track (I just love lyrics!!)
Forgotten empires
Lost victories long past
Everytime I’ve bloomed again
I thought I was the last
And then something crazy happened
And Boom!
I’m doing the victory dance
Told you I was coming back!
Say it like you mean it
Repeat 1st verse
WE CAME THROUGH BLOOD AND FIRE!!
Every hair on my body just stood on end reading that...
I REFUSE to illegally download...but damn it's hard not to just grab 'em, burn 'em and get in the car!!!!!
"Ya know what they say about angels... An angel is a supernatural being or spirit, usually humanoid in form, found in various religions and mythologies. Plus Roth fan boards..."- ZahZoo April 2013
They pretty much have to play 'Blood And Fire' live. I don't see how they can avoid it, considering Dave's lyrics pretty much sum up the last 26 years or so for Van Halen and their fans. Plus it's got that arena rock chorus that can easily be sung along to, makes you feel good, and I demand it (just in case that counts for anything).
Some have speculated we'll only see a few of the new songs on tour... that would be very, very disappointing. Of the clips and full songs released to date, every damn one of them would be great live!!! Given my choice... perform the whole damn new record and fill the rest with classics.
"If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”
Based on what we've heard so far, I couldn't agree more. Perform Stay Frosty, She's The Woman, Tattoo, The Trouble With Never, and Blood And Fire and drop Jump, Pretty Woman, I'll Wait, Running With The Devil, and Dance The Night Away. I would have no problem with that whatsoever.
Just left work. Told the cleaning lady to stay frosty.
Heh heh. That's awesome. I think I'll start saying that to everyone too. It's going to be the catch-phrase of 2012...might as well get the trend rolling.
