Awesome. Love it. Let me go ahead and speak for he who will not be named: "Secretly I want a Van Halen bukkake show on my chest." We know you do. We know.

"I've been rich and I've been poor - rich is better, totally better!!"
Love that line.
Awesome song - Dave sounds amazing!

Sinners Swing 2012.....tune is rippin'....and that's without hearing the solo and the bridge!!!

I've heard the brigde and I think it'll be the best track from the album. A true masterpiece.

This song reminds me so much of Slam Dunk! off of DLR Band, with the break where Dave talks and everything. It also has a little bit of the vibe from Lose the Dress if it were sped up. I'm hearing a few other songs off that album in there as well. I love it.

Wow this song is awesome!
The solo brings up a conundrum.
If George Lynch steals Eddies technique and sticks it in the solo of 'Tooth and Nail' and then 25 years later Eddie comes back and uses that solo who is in the right?

LA LA LA LA LA ??????
Dave is completely crazy. I love him!!!
This song slapped me stupid upon first listen all the way thru. I barely shook it off. The heavy weight champs literally delivered the knock out punch with this one. This song in itself exorcised the sammy years from my psychee. God bless you VH!

"Everyday down here's a rainy day... WE DON'T SAVE UP".
Tell me that ain't on the level of Fair Warning era badassness.

Another random post while I piss off my neighbors...
Holy shit....
Van Halen is so on the money with their Rock & Roll assault.
Damn dude....

Best Song on the album *I* think ...

The main riff in this song made me think back to the jam with Tony Levin & Jam Hammer that Eddie did for a Les Paul tribute back in '88. If you start at about 1:55, that's where it begins roughly. This validates the HFT comparison too, because he went right from HFT into this. Not the same note for note, obviously, but it seems to me that this is the stem cell this riff sprung from...

A decent song, but not one of my favorites. A bit average CUNTPARED to some of the more creative ones on the disc. Still a decent song.

In my opinion this is another of the best ones. Only one with with a real de-tuned chunk-a-brown funk goin' on. And then the trippy fade out? There's nothing better than a trippy fade out. God damn I am loving the middle of this album. This really is what we've all been waiting for.

My favorite tune on the album.....easily could have been on Fair Warning. Ed's riffs during "Love the craft, Love the buck" sound so much like Fair Warning tones.

Yup - I think that every time I hear that line. It almost seems like a lost lyric from Mean Street. No matter what song I pick from ADKOT as my favorite, it will always be tied with 'As Is.' And I love love love the trippy fade-out. Usually not a big fan of them, but when done right, they can give you chills. VH and Shanks nailed this one. Perfect!

What the hell is Al saying? 1234 ???? ...
I do very much wish that dumb count out in the beginning was cut off. It should just start with the drums.

I kind of hear a bit of that Two And A Half Men riff in this tune. This one just might be my most listened to track on the cd. The other day I listened to it about 8 times in a row in the dark with my good headphones..
I think Dave sounds just as good as any 6 pack albums. Sounds like Dave to me. I visited the 1984 CD today and Dave sounds the same to me. That album is so tame compared to ADKOT.
been driving around crankin it like i'm 17 again... awesome days.

Zing! (02-17-2012)
I think this is a a top 10 ten VH song !!! Great playing. Lots going on. I wish more of the other song's took on this kind of direction. HoneyBaby does, and Beats Working also has some cool changes in it.

There will be a long standing debate for years to come as to how, exactly, ADKOT stacks up with the 6-pack. But I think we can all agree, can we not, that 'As Is' ranks right up there as one of the greatest =VH= tunes of all time? There simply cannot be any debate about that if you've done your VH homework. The tune simply fucking rocks that much. Am I wrong on this?

For me, the second half of the song is just about the best thing on this disk.
