The main riff in this song made me think back to the jam with Tony Levin & Jam Hammer that Eddie did for a Les Paul tribute back in '88. If you start at about 1:55, that's where it begins roughly. This validates the HFT comparison too, because he went right from HFT into this. Not the same note for note, obviously, but it seems to me that this is the stem cell this riff sprung from...

Absolutely. Except for Eddie's interlude, which is so-so.

A decent song, but not one of my favorites. A bit average CUNTPARED to some of the more creative ones on the disc. Still a decent song.

In my opinion this is another of the best ones. Only one with with a real de-tuned chunk-a-brown funk goin' on. And then the trippy fade out? There's nothing better than a trippy fade out. God damn I am loving the middle of this album. This really is what we've all been waiting for.

My favorite tune on the album.....easily could have been on Fair Warning. Ed's riffs during "Love the craft, Love the buck" sound so much like Fair Warning tones.

Tell me that ain't on the level of Fair Warning era badassness.
Yup - I think that every time I hear that line. It almost seems like a lost lyric from Mean Street. No matter what song I pick from ADKOT as my favorite, it will always be tied with 'As Is.' And I love love love the trippy fade-out. Usually not a big fan of them, but when done right, they can give you chills. VH and Shanks nailed this one. Perfect!

I do very much wish that dumb count out in the beginning was cut off. It should just start with the drums.
