I kind of hear a bit of that Two And A Half Men riff in this tune. This one just might be my most listened to track on the cd. The other day I listened to it about 8 times in a row in the dark with my good headphones..

I think Dave sounds just as good as any 6 pack albums. Sounds like Dave to me. I visited the 1984 CD today and Dave sounds the same to me. That album is so tame compared to ADKOT.

Trippy! I thought nobody would get that ... when I saw that episode I knew that riff was a new song ... you would think he'd be tapping but it's all based of the A chord?

As Is is now second to She's the Woman ...
Broken down n' dirty dressed in rags ...

I think this is a a top 10 ten VH song !!! Great playing. Lots going on. I wish more of the other song's took on this kind of direction. HoneyBaby does, and Beats Working also has some cool changes in it.

There will be a long standing debate for years to come as to how, exactly, ADKOT stacks up with the 6-pack. But I think we can all agree, can we not, that 'As Is' ranks right up there as one of the greatest =VH= tunes of all time? There simply cannot be any debate about that if you've done your VH homework. The tune simply fucking rocks that much. Am I wrong on this?
My karma just ran over your dogma.

As for me, my homework are not finished, and to answer your question it also depends which VH tunes for you are the greatest....??? and yes its a great tune.

I said it right above you. Unchained, Mean Streets & Teacher are just to high of a bar to top for me but I have no problem putting this right below them along with HoneyBaby & Chinatown. I only had to hear them once. You And Your Blues is real close also.

Heavy intro, but for some reason I'm not spinning this tune nearly as much as the others on the album.

For me, the second half of the song is just about the best thing on this disk.

I put this, Chinatown, Honeybaby, and Stay Frosty up there all together at the top of this album. Pretty much all the new songs FUCKIN RULE.

Figures you'd agree with me when I'm drunker than Billy Joel. Don't even recall typing that about 'As Is', but still true. Now to type something relevant while sober...
