I really want to like this one because I loved the music on the original demo.
But I think I hear him talking about setting up a Facebook page at the and if the clip and that kind if stuff drives me nuts

Eat Us and Smile!
Alright!!! Lemme' se yo hands!!
i think this might be a "I'm just a poor caveman and your internet is so strange to me " song.
I might I have to throw a 15 yard penalty flag on this one. Will need to hear all of it.

Lyrics have a "counter blast" flashback? I haven't heard enough to know...
he says "counterblast" in this doesn't he? Uuuuuuugh! LOL
the riff alone is enough for me what a sound...damn!!
The part of the solo at 1:50 is lifted from Romeo Delight...
This is a smokin version from the old club days, man I love it I'm glad I'm alive and well to actually hear my favorite band nailing it like this, its a home run.
Van Halen baby !!
“A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.”
My favorite at the moment. Damn this is a rockin tune.
Same here - absolutely flies, this track. It's the "On Fire"/"atomic Punk" of this album.
Damn but still "You and your Blues" still hitting me in the head.
Can't Control your Future. Can't Control your Friends. The women start to hike their skirts up. I didn't have a clue. That is when I kinda learned how to smile a lot. One Two Three Fouir fun ter thehr fuur.
This one is amazing. This totally has the VH 1 tone and energy going on for me.
I can totally see the tune on the Heavy Metal III Soundtrack......the Green Ball being chased....The miners and the Chicks in the Flying Machines.....So Sweet.
Even though I kinda hate to hear the old riffs on a new Song.....I do not mind it on this one. This is right atm my absolute favorite tune on the album so Far. Mindblowing. Even some of Dave's old fashioned Throat Sing Screams......Steller! Been in my head for over 6 hours today all day. My work is talking to me and I am singing staccato:
Outta Space Outta Space.
This is the most classic VH sound I hear so far, and I love when Dave just blows the roof off the lyrical choices like this.
Bumpersticker on my Rocket's ass:
Go Home. The Earth Is Full.
Last edited by SunisinuS; 02-08-2012 at 04:02 PM. Reason: Inter-steller facial-ful
After detailed scientific investigation it has been determined that Outta Space is the best song on this amazing CD
"Bumper sticker on my rocket's ass: go home, the earth is full." DLR
Outta Space
Is
Outta Sight
Must have played it 20 times today.
Here goes #21
~Only you can prevent low volume~
NEWS FLASH
NASA has just announced that effective immediately all NASA rocket ships that leave earth will have a bumper sticker saying "Go Home The Earth Is Full"
This track does'nt get the props it deserves, For whatever reason, But it's my current favorite, And has been for a few days now. What strikes me are Dave's lyric and delivery. Not an easy song to put words to, Or sing. Eddie is doing the power cord thing, The solo is not blowing away the tune, It's a Dave tune all the way. I mean you else can come up with; COUNTERBLAST, INTERSTELLAR, FACIAL, FULL BOMBER STICKER ON MY ROCKETS ASS: GO HOME, THE EARTH IS FULL. I mean come on, It's fucking killer stuff. Add the fast paced rhythm section, And it just takes me to another place. Dave is stellar throughout, He owns Outta Space.
Too much trouble to put it in here ??

Eat Us And Smile - The Originals
"I have a very belligerent enthusiasm or an enthusiastic belligerence. I’m an intellectual slut." - David Lee Roth
"We are part of the, not just the culture, but the geography. Van Halen music goes along with like fries with the burger." - David Lee Roth
There's like a forum and a thread for this, you know...
Just sayin'

People are sayin' he's really reachin' for it, but if you possibly can, picture a '78 Dave singing this. Oh this song is great. Top notch lyrics.
Can't agree with you Hain23x about the Facebook reference. I laughed out loud when I first heard that! It's the perfect entrance into "Future ain't what it used to be..."
Outta space can mean different things throughout the song - our world is literally in outta space - also in our little world we are running out of space - it can be a drug reference - an isolation reference - a Bowie reference - an admission of our wasteful lives - maybe there's more...
It works on all levels. Dave is a levels man. He blows my mind... into outta space.
First of all I gotta say... I hope VH travel over the pacific ocean and play in Australia on THIS TOUR!! Second thing is... they should play Outta Space in their set list.
The most troubling thing with Dave singing in this higher register is understanding what he's saying. The opening line to this song sounds like, "need no modem and a Chevy..." I had no idea what the line was 'til I read it. It's still great of coarse.
This song is currently kicking ass at this location.
~Please stand back~
I love this song.
It flows and is easy to sing, the lyrics at first were kinda cheesy but make sense now. Eddie kicks ass on it.
My second favorite on the album .

Roth And Roll
Very good song, Love it. I hope VH travel all the way over to north west USA more than ounce this tour.
If you play this song at full blast in your truck.....it will knock the fizz right out of your Big Gulp.
“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”
If you play it backwards it will knock the frizz out of Spams hair.
Ah hell yeah I'm listen to the Pasadena 1976 show where they're playin' this. I fell in love with this riff and now hearing it from 1976 is awesome. It never grabbed me until 2012. I guess the vocal arrangement is just better now. This song always gets me moving.
gnaw on it
Sort of creative and kind of fun.
" You ever notice when I scream I sound like Mr. Bill on acid" DLR
This is my fave track on the album by far. I love the whole CD but for me this one really rocks! So much energy and the usual smart lyrics from Roth. I listen to it when I work out! :-)
A great track all in all!
''I wanna let me be your knight in shining pick up truck, Do me a favor and lose the dress...but keep the shoes!''
