Seems like an attention-whore move to gain some acceptance and credibility, and what they end up getting is their teeth kicked in by the mods and the scorn of the old-timers and regulars here.

For my part, I want to extend a hearty pat on the back to the mods and webbies who have done a phenomenal job policing this stuff. It can't be easy to keep up all the time, and you guys are kicking ass.

I guess I'm asking, how solid is the relationship you have with these people? From what I'm seeing (invites, info, interviews) I'd guess that this site is essential to these companies. A lot of people surf the net. A lot of people need to come to a place like this.
