Your post reminds me of how that last tune on WACF (officially untitled, but it's come to be known as "Growth") was supposed to be a preview of what the next album would start off with, but by the time Fair Warning was recorded, Eddie came up with the intro to Mean Street, which was much better anyway.

HOLY FUCK... what a difference from the clips posted... MONSTROUSLY thicker production and better sounding mix to my ears... Dave is blended perfectly on what I am hearing (which was my big complaint on the short clips as he was WAY too loud) ...
I honestly am speechless as to what I have just listened to ...
Not sure there is a better Songs #2 - #8 on anything I have heard in the past 25 years...

Just got myself an "early copy" too...but my CD/DVD will arrive on Tuesday.
I am absolutely blown away. I cannot describe how great an album this is. And I can't believe that I prefer the new SHE'S THE WOMAN to the original version...
Also, the sound quality is SO MUCH better than the preview versions.
