Still have a soft spot for M.A. but thank you Wolf. Thank you for buggin' out on your pops last tour for falling off the wagon. Thank you for knowing enough as a kid growing up listening to VH that there can only be one version of VH and that's the one fronted by Uncle Dave. Thank you for putting the work in since the last tour and playing killer bass lines on ADKOT and thank you for having a decent enough voice to pull off background vocals. Thank you for having a decent enough head on your shoulders and for not being some spoiled, unproductive, born with a silver fuckin spoon in your mouth like the rest of most famous people's children seem to be. Thank you for being famous not just for being famous like so many 20 something good for nothing Idiots seem to be in Hollywoood these days.
Wolfie has done ONLY GOOD THINGS for Van Halen...all the other three have their sins.

The kid is playing like a motherfucker on the new record. Let's hope he's a bit higher in the mix live this time around.
Hypothetical scenarios/roads not taken...I too doubt the band would be where it is today if Anthony had stuck around. Wolf's presence clearly gives Ed a boost and degree of pleasure that is only a plus.

Kid is ripping it up on the new album. So great to put all the doubts from the 07/08 tour in the garbage. This band is firing on all cylinders. Wolf deserves massive amounts of props.

I hear ya people and I agree with all the nice things that have been said towards Wolfie, And I agree that the kid is very talented. But to me without Mike Anthony it's not Van Halen. Well let me specify it is a form of Van Halen but not the real deal. I miss the soaring harmonies and MA overall personality in the band. So I guess I'm going to get flamed here folks but it is what it is (in my world anyway!!) Better then nothing but not as cool as it could have been!!!!

I can agree, in part, with what you've said here. Certainly the ORIGINAL 4 members of Van Halen re-united would be a dream come true for any fan. But...the point of my THANK YOU to Wolfgang is due to the fact that he alone brought his father, and in turn, Van Halen and David Lee Roth back together in 2006...
