Girl Gone Bad - Isolated Guitar Track

Well, not completely, you can still hear a few bits of drums, but Dave's vocals are totally gone.

I loved the isolated tracks that came out of GHVH but I've figured out a way to do it with any other vintage VH tune.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

I'm currently working on Outta Love Again, Light Up The Sky and Little Dreamer.

    Is this good?

I'm getting pretty fast at these. I'M ON FFFIIIIIIIIRRRRE, which would probably work as well.

Has anyone read this yet? Any requests?

and lastly Little Dreamer. Can't think of any more I want to make right now.

Sounds I COULD do if anyone wants them:-

        Bottoms Up
        On Fire
        D.O.A
        Women In Love
        You're No Good
        Dance The Night Away
        Fools
        Take Your Whiskey Home
        In A Simple Rhyme
        House Of Pain

I can't do any Fair Warning or Diver Down tunes as I haven't got them on CD, only in iTunes. The way I do these means I need the CD audio format

that's slightly harder to do but I've got a few ideas. For now just shut out the left speaker for a rough backing track

how are you doing this? I want to make my own backing tracks... basically the reverse of what you are doing.

Playing about with stereo, doing acoustic calculations on it and such.

Don't want to say exactly what I'm doing :P

I could probably make a backing track this way but you may still hear Ed's reverb or other spill, which could be off-putting.

You're not doing rocket science here, man. You're using Audacity or any other DAW and splitting the stereo track. Then, you're inverting one track so it cancels out everything in the middle of the mix. It became obvious once I heard partial drums, and also explains why the backing vocals are still there.

Not trying to come off as a dick, but it's really not a secret worth guarding.

Doesn't do a lot of good to remove the vocal if there's annoying static in its place

                        Fucking cool!

Thoroughly enjoyed that. I was singing to it pretending I was Dave & coming up with lyrics as I went.

I have before, just not with Van Halen. I don't really do that because I usually record my own BTs.
