You know.... a Devil doesn't want to rain on this parade, but ....

        Was she talented? Of course.

Great voice in her prime? Absolutely.

The thing is though, she wasted that talent and that voice. And no, I don't even mean the drugs.

I mean the goddamned sterile, bland, soulless corporate horseshit schlock "music" that set the stage for all this "American Idol"/"X Factor"/"The Voice"/Aging White Disney Whores Trying To Sing Just Like Her bullshit that has destroyed music for the last 20 years.

Should have stuck to the Gospel singing, like your ma did, Whitney. Instead you went down the road of your aunt Dionne, only even lamer.

Quite possibly the best rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, ever. RIP Whitney Houston

My bet would be it was from heart failure. Long term crack use can weaken the heart, as well as other vital organs.

From most accounts she was clean, but she very well could have had a relapse. A weakened heart would make it easier to OD if she was doing drugs again. It's all speculation until the coroner's report.

Wow, last snippet I saw of her showed her suposedly drug free, she certainly looked
healthier. Sad to say but this headline seemed to be imminent. (Like Amy Winehouse)
Michael Jackson and Whitney pretty much ruled the radio around the same time.
Doesnt seem that long ago. Both gone now. Both from drugs.

She had the voice of an Angel, and now she is with them RIP.

When I first saw her on MTV I thought she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen. To say nothing of the voice. That Star Spangled Banner performance may have been the best ever seen.

                                Oh dear.
