DLR Pic May 1986 Boston Garden
May 12 1986,DLR was the host of the disco station Kiss 108 annual party, you had Heart, Whitney Houston, Appolonia, Fab Thunderbirds, Run DMC. I went to the back of the Boston Garden, snuck in during the lodout. Went into some dressing rooms and grabbed some programs, old backstage passes. Found out they were going to the Back Bay Hilton for fterparty. Followed a limo to Back Bay Hilton. Approached the front door with the passes in my hand. The valet waived me in. I went to the bar, made my way to the back, and there was DLR smoking a cig talking with the chef. I saddled up next to him, he bummed a few cigs from me. I sked if he wanted a JD and coke, he said yes. I go to the bar and they are out of JD, so I order two wild turkeys and cokes, I come back and hand to dave. I then tell him I was going on a safari, he went on for 30 minutes about how I have to train, what to eat, drink, all these chicks were coming over. When they interupted us, dave said one minute, and went bqck to training and diet and fitness. I mentioned I also lived in Brookline Mass., he loved that, that is he lived when his Dad was a doctor in Boston. I asked a girl to take a pic, he then grabbed a cocktail napkin and wrote, " Bob, good luck, always remember potential" DLR, fast forward 23 years later, DLR band is playing the Hampton Beach Casino in New Hampshire, I was at the Ashworth Hotel bar after the show. The tour bus pulls out, out comes B Young, Animal, James Lomenzo and Dave, I go to my room to get this pic, head for the elevator, door opens, its DLR and Animal. I ask if he would sign my pic, he did with a big smile. That is my story!!

Makes me jealous to think how much pussy you scored over the years flashing this photo around the local watering holes. You lucky sum-a-bitch!

I love the part when Dave tells the girls to wait a second because he was talking to you about safari diets. That's pure class and common courtesy!

HAH! Dave's wearing a Judge Dread t-shirt. I had the same one back in the early eighties. Of course, he makes it look cool. Nice pic. Thanks.

HA! Me too! I had all the comics. Fucking Stallone ruined it. I don't think it was his fault though. Just a horrible script. I had big hopes.

What a great story. Having a drink with Dave and shooting the breeze! Cool that you showed a little ingenuity to get it done.
