Thanks for sharing that review GA. Nice to see what other countries are thinking. Sounds basically identical to the ones I'm hearing here in Southern CA (well...same amount of praise minus the Sammy bashing). Los Angeles & San Diego reviews are coming out with full praise for this album. The only bad thing I've heard was a local radio morning show make fun of Daves singing in the acoustic "You Really Got Me". But it was a bit rough. I think they've heard the full album by now & loved it.

I sure hope they extend more legs of the tour to overseas. I think they are hesitant but once they do they will be fucking blown away by the reception they get & how rabid the fans are to see them.

The ADKOT didn't debut very high...at #24 only, but it was out only half a week and it'll easily rise after this. And another good thing is there's real music ahead of Van Halen, metal, rock etc...besides crap. Leonard Cohen is current number one.

The shittiest fact is Nickelback's latest is ahead at the moment.

Apart from one guy in Tasmania, Australians love the real deal.

Dave solo outsold the same arenas multiple nights where Van Cheronie
could only half fill one night.

Dont know if we are officially the second outside of Nth America,

MOR was never very big in the UK and Roth did 5 headlining tours here since 1986, Van Hagar only did a couple of gigs supporting Bon Jovi in the whole time they existed.

RUMBA listed Van Halen number two on it's first week! It's a big music magazine that gathers it's information from the main music distributors.

Only a hugely supported finnish metal band Stam1na was ahead of it. BTW, last as high position from Van Halen in Finland is from the 80's.

On the official list, where VH debuted at 24 during the half-a-week, VH now raised into the position 3!!!

I only know one in my area - he's become kind of a pal. We met at the record store about ten years ago, both looking for the 6-pack remasters.
The guy isn't a Hagar fan, but a fan of anything with the "VH" label on it, even the Ga y album... He's hopeless, but a good guy anyway.

Sadly, most people I ask about their knowing Van Halen or not only remember "Jump". Not much, but something at least, and some *real* VH...
As for Van Hagar, that was a dozen years in between, but I'd bet nobody recalls anything memorable - of course.

It's been a damn long time, almost 3 goddamn decades since 1984, like eternity for non-followers.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if ADKOT made the top 5 here in the coming weeks. By the way, it's the first time in ages I've checked billboard rankings,
it took VH's release.

Two more reviews I've found. First one of them praised the album, 4/5.

Second one was the first negative one I've read here. 2/5. It praised many things, but said this lacks on choruses and consists of "songs that were left out, likely for reason".

We never get to find out what the reason is, except for the choruses. I checked out what other albums has this guy reviewed. He gave 5/5 to St. Anger. Case closed.

Lots of great tunes, no lemons and acres of meat on the proverbial bone make this album must-hear ear candy. It really does sound like Eddie himself is inspired and Alex plays his ass off. Whatever Wolfgang Van Halen is doing, he isn't doing anything wrong, and Dave sounds like he is just enjoying himself.

Get this album. NOW.
