I have great seats for the Manchester NH show but I am not psyched as I thought I would be. It is almost the same setlist as the 07 tour, the stage looks alright and I just cant get over the headset look! Somebody get me a doctor please!

If you can't get excited over a Van Halen show, there is no one who can help you. Might as well sell the car, buy a rocking chair, and stare out at the neigbours and complain about the noise and everyone's messy yards.
I"m less excited than I was but that's because I had something so wonderful and unexpected happen, even Van Halen will have a hard time topping it! I'd say it's on par.
Oh dear.
I really love you baby, I love what you've got
Let's get together we can, Get hot
Some of you people are downright spoiled....
Eat Us And Smile - The Originals
"I have a very belligerent enthusiasm or an enthusiastic belligerence. I’m an intellectual slut." - David Lee Roth
"We are part of the, not just the culture, but the geography. Van Halen music goes along with like fries with the burger." - David Lee Roth
eddies playing his ass off, wolfs playing his ass off..Dave is bringing more energy than the last tour ...new songs...old songs we never thought would be in the setlist...i can't wait for friday!!!
I am psyched. Summer is too long a wait for my show.

I suggest drinking more We got a new album out - with a DVD, a new tour just kicked off, they're playing four of the new songs live and some killer songs they haven't played in forever, AND the Roth Army is selling some kick-ass t-shirts...What more could you want?
American by birth. Southern by the grace of God.

Can't ask for miracles.
They already did the reunion tour in 07 and 08 by playing all the hits to please all the pink hat VH fans. I was hoping more of the new songs live (they still might) and some deeper tracks this time around. Such as secrets to replace Ill wait and Hear about it later to replace pretty woman, however woman in love and out of love again is a nice place to start.
No I meant about me getting laid.
I wouldn't have held back so much...
By comparison of the clips I've seen of the tour rehearsals and first gig of this tour vs. the last tour rehearsals, clips and gig I actually saw, I'm way more psyched up to see the band this time around...particularly if Eddie stays in as fine a form as he's in right now when they reach Tampa.
The ENTIRE band sounds dead-on this time around (let's be honest, Eddie was NOT firing on all points last time around) and has released a strong album.
Plus, this time around I'm generally much more accepting of Wolf being in the band and Anthony not being there. Also, in 2008, it had only been a year and a half between that show and the last Roth solo gig I saw in the summer of 2006 vs. the four year gap between the last two Van halen tours.
It's gonna be a great show and a fun night out. I ain't expecting career-defining, earth-shattering performances from the band anymore. All they have to provide is a professional, competently performed set and they've got the job done in my book.
Scramby eggs and bacon.
Awesome post, Eugene...
I'm not even going to get to go. You don't even care if you do?
I'm The One dropped
Atomic Punk dropped
So This Is Love dropped
And The Cradle Will Rock dropped
Little Dreamer dropped
Little Guitars dropped
Jamie's Cryin' dropped
She's The Woman added
Tattoo added
China Town added
The Trouble With Never added
Women in Love added
Outta Love added
Yeah, you're absolutely right, it's almost the same setlist.....
Jesus H. Christ, tell ya what, donate the tickets to the Army, we'll have a great contest and the winner will win your seats !!
How's that sound??
Spare Change - you need to keep things in perspective. This maybe the last time VH will do a tour or an album, ill say this from me and Ashtralia here in OZ shut the fuck up and stop whinging!!!!!!!!
VA your right, if this guy who seems to have the IQ of a frisbee whinges anymore, please ask for the tickets and raffle them off somehow.
Whinges ??
$175 X 3 for tickets Sorry I am just not going to pretend to get excited over hearing YRGM/ATAL for the 1000th time. We true VH fans have suffered long enough where they should to be able to lean a few more older tunes plus the majority of the new ones and give a steller show.
parade
WE'RE ON A MISSION FROM ROTH.
It's AT'BL
But dude, with a sober Edward and Dave in fine form, the set list hardly matters at all...
I hate Jump and I'd like to hear I'm The One and Atomic Punk again, but soo friggin' what...
It's easy to tell from the youtube clips that the sound and overall performance is WAY better than the last tour...
But put your tickets on ebay. You'll make a few dollars and you can be happy...
I got ZERO TOLERANCE for whiney bitchy VH fans. No one is putting a gun to your head to buy tickets. Go to a Chicken-Shit show if you wanna whine about a musical performance.
As a fan ---- you have ZERO CONTROL over the setlist. It's been like that since the beginning of musical history. Now that the setlist for the Louisville show has been made public ---- make your choice about whether to attend and then just STFU.
Read the reviews ---- Eddie is playing better than ever, Wolfie has matured quite nicely as the bass player, and Dave is bringing the fun and showmanship back to the rock stage. Add in some cold brews and nice MILFs to gawk it ----- and I call that a rather fun way to spend a weekday night. Or you can just sit in your mama's basement and play WoW while listening to "Dreams" like a loser.
Way to sensitive about this! No bigger Classic VH fan than me! I just have high expections of the Mighty Van Halen. Plus I'm enjoing the ride alright! "I can fit a whole lot more people in my back seat than you can in your fancy French car!"
