    It's not online at the moment but in Vai's night by night journal of that tour it seems that his amp(which was modded) blew every few nights so I'm not sure I would want this...

              I never cared for his tone. For the most part it is too laboratory sterile. Definitely not a plexi, and I know it is 76-80, as I have one. Just curious of the exact year. For no particular reason other than curiosity.

                    I didn't care for his tone either however it was still better than Ed's 5150 album tone IMO.

                        I also had an early 70's Marshall with the small logo with a Ross Robinson mod. That thing was a beast! I sold it to Chris Poland back in 1991.

                            Yep, My band room was across the hall from him in Vernon, Ca (when he was doing Damn The Machine) I was jamming with Ross Robinson and Dave McClain at the time before they were famous of course.
