No it's not. It establishes the fact that Martin's skin color was the only (or at least primary) reason Zimmerman thought he was "suspicious" in the first place. As do his other comments like "THEY always get away with it". Get away with WHAT? The kid was eating Skittles, drinking ice tea and walking back to his fucking father's house. What the fuck was he "getting away with".

Here's what I don't like about the "stand your ground" law...even in the report Elbow posted, they say if someone "feels threatened" they can shoot - uh, it's pretty well known that some people are hysterically threatened by the mere presence of blacks (or other minorities), whether there's a genuine threat or not. Let's recall Arizona nutjob Jan Brewer saying she "felt threatened" talking to the POTUS on the airport tarmac!! So by that retarded logic, she could have opened fire??
