I believe Marshall amplification is a family owned company. I know Jim's son and daughter run it. As long as the company remains in the family and the kids care about it, we still should see some great stuff come out of Marshall. Heaven forbid the company ever goes public.

A full Marshall stack. Every garage guitarists dream. I remember in the 80's in high school ....man, if you had one of those you were instantly respected & envied by all the other hacks. And everyone wanted to come over to jam.

Never had the pleasure of owning one, but did plug in a few times. Oddly it made me sound leaps & bounds better than I really was.

                      Rest in peace.

I heard if you took a tour of the Marshall factory as you walked by Mr. Marshall's office you could smell his cigar smoke.

What else can one say, R.I.P. Mr. Marshall. You'll be sorely missed. Glad you got to see the 50th Anniversary of your company.

The feeling of buying your first Marshall was almost as good as getting laid for the first time. People didn't want a Marshall amp. They lusted for one.

Yep, I sold every piece of gear I had except for my Stratocaster to buy my '73 Superlead half stack when I was 18...

And I still have it, among others...
