There are definitely three or four shots - barely a second or two in length - that are pro-shot work from an actual Van Halen concert in the Panama vid. One would guess, based on the amount of footage that was shot for the rest of the video, such as Dave and Al cruising in his low-rider or Ed blowing smoke rings at his piano, that an entire concert was filmed.

Was revisiting this thread this morning and read the original post... I can only assume in the excitement of the possibility of something rare, unseen surfacing... most of you, especially Mr Walker, glossed over a blaring historical fact that makes this whole prospect highly suspicious and very unlikely.
Let's review a few facts...
Factual evidence exists that all archival audio and video material from Van Halen was stored at Pacific Title Archives. The inventory sheets have been posted here many times and show all the various pro-shot video and recorded audio tape stuff for several known recorded performances. It was all stored in climate controlled vaults as you see below. Note a very important key fact... this was ALL on TAPE and FILM STOCK stored in a secure storage facility.
Early 1980's technology... remember before the current digital age. The wonderful world of analog video film and magnetic tape for recording live performances. Video was shot on film... audio was recorded to tape both on separate machines and spliced together and synced before transferred to another tape media format that combined them both. No digital storage devices... no CD's, no flash memory, etc... Hell the Sony Beta Cam was introduced in 1982... but commercial pro-shot was still huge cameras and separate sound recording units. VHS camcorders didn't emerge until 1985.
Why all the history lessons... well it's simple. You would need a truck load of huge video/audio transfer machines to "copy" pro-shot film and transfer 2" analog audio tape... then more machines to sync and audio and video into a single source. Remember Van Halen's media was all in secured archival storage. Which did not house the machines to duplicate this stuff on site. The possibility of someone's ex wife having access is one thing... the plausibility of her having access to the complex analog duplication technology of the times and the ability to even operate it just doesn't add up... at all. In 1985, nor even in 1990 it's not like you could walk up and connect a cable and dump something to CD... nor flash drive, nor even plug your new camcorder into a film/tape duplicator and burn a quick copy for yourself.
Sorry to piss on anyone's hopeful leg and tell em it's raining... but consider the story and then apply the real technology. None of the pro-shot CVH stuff could have easily been copied without a ton or two of huge complex analog machines. Plus given the one and done posting... this person just pulled a classic "Sea Gull" antic long known on these boards... Fly in, make a whole lot of noise, crap all over the place and fly off...

Majority of the pro-shot stuff available today was recorded from TV broadcasts on VCR's. A few may have been scratch copies made from original media that somehow made it out publicly but were never mastered into a final product.
Yes, there's the clip the guy provided and it's more or less convincing... odds favor it being a home recording from a TV broadcast rather than a direct copy from VH's vault or anything floating around in their management's hands.
My point was... the guy is claiming to know someone who's allegedly sitting on a goldmine of pro-shot unreleased classic van halen that some woman allegedly burned copies of in the early to mid-80's. Given the format of the pro shot media used in those days... I question the whole premise of how she was able to copy the material. If all this stuff had been converted to something as simple as a home VHS tape back in the day and "someone who knew VH's management" could easily have had access and hours to gain a copy... then this stuff would be all over the place... not just now surfacing 30 years later..."If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”Comment

I don't doubt that Mr Walker...
I used to work for Bill Graham Productions in the early 80's as a live sound engineer and backline grunt. I spent some time in their production facility that handled the Bill Graham Presents TV stuff. While it wasn't Fort Knox or Area 51 you also couldn't stroll in with a blank VHS or Betamax tape and pop a quick copy of anything... plus they didn't have any "consumer" machines in the production studio."If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”Comment

I swear 80's chicks were a billion times better looking than women today. They looked real. All the porn girls today look identical & all do the exact same shit. I still watch, just sayin'.“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”Comment

80's chicks had a ton of hairspray in their hair. They wore some great smelling perfume. Tattoos were not the thing. Piercings were for punks. 80's chicks had class. They dressed nice and weren't fat sloppy fat asses with emotional problems. No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment
