That was really nice of Ed and it's sad what happened to the great Jason Becker but man, nice wife beater shirt there Ed. You look like Larry the Cable Guy.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

      Wife beater? Haha

More like a cousin fucker shirt!

Jokes aside, it was pretty big of Ed to actually get in front of a camera and do this.
As years went by, watching the telethon here and there. I began to wonder if Lewis continued doing
this more to feed his ego and fading public interest in himself...

Amazing. Ed did a great job. Anyone know anything about Jerry's "7 morons in Chicago" remark at the end?

I was wondering about that too. Like to hear the rest of that story...

Jason gets a sparkle in his eyes when Ed stokes up his guitar playing. This is awesome.

Very cool of Ed. The fact that Becker still lives on and still composes all these years later is nothing short of amazing.

Especially when you consider how Lou Gerhig died about 2 years after being diagnosed.

I still want a guitar like Becker's. I loved the actual numbers on the fret board. I always wished Dave's book would have talked more about him. But you could tell it was still hard for him 10 years later...

Exactly...! In 1994 Becker was given a 5-year life expectancy! Amazing the dude soldiers on.

I always thought that was a cool guitar and a cool idea.

The last Jason Becker interview I read he still had a sense of humor. I guess he has a computer setup that allows him to communicate. He said if a cure comes and he gets healed the first thing he's going to do is go out and get laid.

Damn that's tough to watch. Not real familiar with Jason's work post-DLR, but ALAE speaks for itself. I think Dave was right about JB as he stated in his book - he was about to set the world on fire before this verdict came in. Classy of Ed to do that - particularly since this was back in the day when he was perpetually running late for class...

Download the End of the Beginning and you'll see what musical genius we were robbed of...

He communicates with his eyes. He has a computer program that enables him to write music, communicate via email, and do interviews. One of my highlights was getting an email from him back in 2001, about 3 months after I emailed him when I bought Perspectives.
