This is more like recording gear PR0N, but this little robot would be so useful in quickly finding the sweet spot on a guitar cab instead of someone having to get up a zillion times to try moving it a "centimeter to the left off the cone"...
Most engineers just say fuck it and put one mike at 45 degrees and one straight on. Now they have the robot device and then the drummer will be replaced by a robot.

3 mics is the best way to go IMO...the 3rd one being a kick drum mic for low-end cabinet "thunk" on heavy guitar parts...

Not sure if this is the correct thread to ask this question....but...I'm a drummer who is starting to take a more active interest in playing guitar. Can anyone tell me what is a solid, heavier sounding wah pedal to purchase? I just purchased a Charvel DS-3 ST.....bottom of the line Charvel but I'm a bottom of the line guitar player so it makes sense for me. I love the guitar....just wanted to add a kick ass metal sounding wah. I found a dude on Craigs list selling a Vox Big bad Wah/ Satriani model for $110.....wondering if it's worth it. Thanks.

Vox Wahs are cool, as are Dunlop Crybabys...check the price on a new Satriani Vox before buying the Craig'sList one...
If you just want a basic good sounding Wah. Vox sells one that is all black with no chrome for less money. The guts are still the same quality. I picked one up about six months ago. Since wahs have moving parts they tend to wear out and have problems so if you buy used it's kind of the question of how much wear and tear is on it. If you buy new then you know it's going to last a while.
Thank you both fellas.....I did check the price on a brand new Satch Vox wah......not worth buying it used.
That's what I figured...that sounded kinda steep for used.

Not sure if anyone really gives 2 shits....but i ended up visiting my buddy at his music store and purchased the Zakk Wylde Cry baby for $95. Tried a few out and liked the sound of that particular pedal the most. Now I have to keep playing.........

That's fucking amazing. And insane.Shared the link, and one of my parts suppliers just saw it and said (paraphrasing) "It'd take hours of CNC programming, but once it's done..."
