Got the (incorrectly done 24 + years ago) nut ledge re-milled on the bomber's Charvel neck. And since I'm absolutely loving the narrower string-spacing of the R4 on the R5 neck, keeping it that way. No credit-card stock shims under the nut anymore, total perfection. It already played great, but now it's insane.

This weekend's project is reviewing both a Pearly Gates and Alternative 8 in the Kramer.
The PG sounds really cool, only slightly hotter than the '59, but the A2 mag gives it a cool quality, and it's excellent at reproducing harmonics. Gotta do some clips, and then the PG comes out of the bridge and the Alt 8 goes in, review, more clips. I have a feeling if I like the Alt 8 that's what's gonna live in there, though...

That's Koa (which I of course have a fondness for) and imagining they're just Carvins in an EMG housing... funny how all the 7 and 8 string designs seem to be bowing to the EMG footprint... even Duncan is making 7 and 8 string 'buckers in those housings (as a Custom Shop only item at the moment IIRC)
