Gonna have to change the volume knob as well...
Trolls take heed...LOG OUT & FUCK OFF!!!
I don't believe that I like this thread.
Gear St. is a troll-free zone. Posts moved.
Hey, at least they're thinking of you...
Who the fuck cares what the bitch likes?
Funny all those Fenders....all look like they are in really great shape......must not be selling a lot of them right now judging by the quantity of them right there, lol.
Not a fuck is given. Back to your originally scheduled Guitar PR0N Thread.
Got the (incorrectly done 24 + years ago) nut ledge re-milled on the bomber's Charvel neck. And since I'm absolutely loving the narrower string-spacing of the R4 on the R5 neck, keeping it that way. No credit-card stock shims under the nut anymore, total perfection. It already played great, but now it's insane.
that guitar is a weapon
Masturbation worthy!
This weekend's project is reviewing both a Pearly Gates and Alternative 8 in the Kramer.
The PG sounds really cool, only slightly hotter than the '59, but the A2 mag gives it a cool quality, and it's excellent at reproducing harmonics. Gotta do some clips, and then the PG comes out of the bridge and the Alt 8 goes in, review, more clips. I have a feeling if I like the Alt 8 that's what's gonna live in there, though...
The Rough Cutt Charvel/Jackson collection. Not sure if these are replicas or not, but proud to say I worked on a couple of the originals of these babies...
Oh, HAI!
OMG I think I may pass out with lust.
Looking for a good guitar shop in Peterborough? Try us for great prices and service.
That's a nice chunk o' wood. What kind of pick ups are those?
That's Koa (which I of course have a fondness for ) and imagining they're just Carvins in an EMG housing... funny how all the 7 and 8 string designs seem to be bowing to the EMG footprint... even Duncan is making 7 and 8 string 'buckers in those housings (as a Custom Shop only item at the moment IIRC)
I think a friend of mine has a guitar made of Koa. I'll have to ask him.
Are those EMG's still battery activated? Never liked that feature.
You KNOW you have made it when you own a real '58 or '59 Korina V like Joe has....
You never see it now but I can remember when they made outrigger canoes and paddles out of Koa in Hawaii. Just off the beach in Maui there were guys making outrigger canoes in this work area. People hadn't gone gaga over that wood yet I guess or maybe environmental regulations cut the supply of it. From what I understand all the koa came from the Hawaiian islands.
Here's a Les Paul that I kinda want... the Studio 60s...
"Like the most revered Les Paul Standards of all time, the Les Paul Studio '60s starts with the classic tonewood combination of a mahogany body with solid carved maple top. Together, these woods offer outstanding tonal depth and richness from the mahogany, with superb clarity and "snap" from the maple. The strategic placement of several tone chambers enhances resonance while also reducing the guitar's overall weight considerably. And even in this more affordable instrument from Gibson USA, the glued-in solid-mahogany neck is cut to the superior "quarter-sawn" grain orientation for superior strength and optimum resonance transfer between neck and body. The neck is carved to the authentic '60s-style SlimTaper™ profile that gives this model its name, and it's topped with an unexpected slice of true luxury: a select ebony fingerboard, a wood usually reserved for high-end and custom models. The guitar has a PLEK-cut Corian nut, and, to further maximize vibrational energy, Gibson includes its legendary Tune-o-matic bridge and stud-mounted wraparound tailpiece, arguably the most storied hardware combination in the history of the electric guitar."
I'd most likely change the pickups, but otherwise, waaaay cool... wish it came in other colors... like none more black...
