A recessed strat-trem? There's an idea for the next build...
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

Love the guitar, and the trem idea is cool ( I do loves me some recessed trems). Govan is one of those "send you to the woodshed" players - so amazing you just instantly want to grab your guitar and practice...speaking of which thank you good night!

It's a bit like concentrating on the cock during porn.

You think you are doing quite well and then you watch that and it just makes you feel smaller.

The annoying thing is it is melodic and tasteful so you can't even use the shredder defense.

Oil-finish? And is it just me, or is that body a size smaller than a regular bass?

Maybe...it's patterned after a Charvel San Dimas Concert bass, so could be a hair smaller.. fits the standard scale neck and everything, though.

    Kewl!

Have you played 'em yet? Very cool, worth the price almost for the pickups alone... neck's a little chunky for my tastes but I was super-impressed with the ones I've played. My buddy had two at one point, but just got rid of one...

I have....at a small local place in New Berlin, Wi............

I liked the neck....not a fan of the ultra thin necks....sounded INCREDIBLE...moreso unplugged...that guitar really breathes.....awesome Strat "Pop & Sparkle" plugged in.....

the last guitar that knocked me out like that was the Gary Moore sig Les Paul....best sounding LP I've ever played!

Had I not been in mid-computer rebuild when he decided to sell his Sunburst one, might have considered grabbing my friend's....probably would've changed the neck out (I don't like super-thin ones either, but it was a little too baseball-bat like for my tastes), but those things sound AWESOME...

    Um no, it wouldn't.
How's scalloping the fretboard going to change the back contour of the neck, again?

I think the heft of the neck adds to the overall sustain.....

the Strat I played really sang unplugged..................................

ERIC really has an ear for detail....

I love to really put one of those guitars thru its paces.......like to hear it thru a high gain amp....

We tried 'em through a bunch of amps. They sound killer. Glassy like you'd expect from a great Strat, but still tough. Didn't seem to wilt under gain, either. I wish they'd sell the pickups seperately!

Speaking of pickups, anyone have any requests for Duncan model reviews they'd like to see? Trying to decide what to get next... they're aksing what I want, and I'm drawing a blank at the moment...lol I've reviewed almost their entire passive humbucker line, and a lot of the stacks...
