I had already developed a taste for JD before VH was sporting it on stage...

In my case it may have been seeing Lynyrd Skynyrd during their peak before the plane crash while I was in high school that planted the JD seed...

Last time I drank JD from tennesse I woke up on seymour street with no pants or jacket in the middle of the night after blacking out at a motley crue concert in Vancouver 1985.
Last i remember i was at home with my buddies getting ready for the show.
Drinky Drinky Smoky Smoky Snorty Snorty.
I learned that jack daniels is not my friend.
And never wore leather pants and jacket again.

Guilt here too. Until I was about 19 & someone had brought a bottle of Jim Beam to a party. Tried that & never looked back. 21+ years later it's still my whiskey of choice.

I drank a wat too many bottles of Jack between the ages of 32-35 ...

I was on the verge of alcoholism, but one day I just decided that when my car went thru the garge door, that was the end.

I was lucky and stupid, but I had a great affair during that time that was surreal, she was 20, I was 35 and we trashed our hotel room to classic Van Halen.

Those were good times ...Damn Good Times ...

All the heavy sour mash drinkers I ever knew bought Evan Williams. It's cheaper than jack but close enough. One of the cheap booze diamonds in the rough is Ancient Age bourbon. It's pretty good and comes for a rot gut price. I had to fire a guy because he liked it too much but he did know what cheep hooch to buy. I bought some to make BBQ sauce with and drank some and was quite impressed how good it was and how little it costs.

At least your aim was correct. Better the garage door than the front door.

And you got the correct house right?

Yep, that's why I started drinking it. If you're gonna copy somebody's style, who better to rip off than Dave? Started back in high school, couldn't drink too much of it at a time. But you go to a party, have a few beers then bring out the Jack and take a big pull off the bottle and all is right with the world and the chicks actually thought it was cool (probably for the same reason I did since none of them would touch the stuff). Damn, has it really been nearly 25 years since then?

Hmmm poison... I honestly haven't drank a soda more than 5 times in the last 15 years.

More of a water, coffee, un-sweet iced tea person by day. Guinness, Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada, & JD after hours guy.

Southern Comfort and tequila were my choice drinks when younger. Yes, I'm a Janis fan, lol
