    Best Shows from 07-08 Tour

Just out of my own curiosity, I'm digging back to the 07-08 tour to check some things out. Instead of wading through umpteen vids on youtube, I'm turning to the Army for show suggestions, good (or bad).

    Thanks!

Aw hell, this is easy. Everybody knows it was Rosemont. I'm not just saying that 'cause I was there.....fuck it, yeah I am. It still kicked unholy ass and turned out to be one of the best shows from early in the tour.
Allstate Arena has been a hotspot for Van Halen so far. They've always knocked the fuckin' walls off of that joint everytime.

I like that Montreal? show where they were goofing around a lot and a bunch of the DDLR crew road tripped. Lou recorded it. Good recording and entertaining show.

I only have the opinion of the Reno 08 show, because thus far it's the only one I've seen live. Personally, I thought it was a bad ass show. The band was super tight, every one looked healthy and happy to be playing, and it was kind of a "smaller" venue. I was also front row, and having Dave stand right in front of me singing was pretty awe inspiring.

Complete agreement. I was disappointed in the lack of effort by all. They redeemed themselves later in Omaha that tour. KC this time around was killer.

Thanks for the suggestions. Earlier today I was watching some vids from the Baltimore show in '08 and it seemed like a pretty good show. They threw Crossroads in the middle of SGMAD and Dave was in classic Dave form- telling the crowd that "Wolf will get some Baltimore leg tonight for sure" which got a good laugh out of Ed.

2nd Anaheim great sound, performance and even with drinks going was more fun than LA shows, San Diego was best party and Loudest of Tour, closest to wild days VH. Tiger Woods was best combo of precision and enjoyment after the little break and basically end of the Tour.
Yes San Diego was overall best West show for VH fun.
Charlotte was best moment, nothing can rightly compare to opening night and all the emotion of erasing the rough decades before. It was a spirit you had to be at to feel.

DTNA is just the good Dave clip. Love how the crowd was singing along at the break. But seriously, look up any pf the Cox arena 2007 clips. Oh...it's also the one where Dave started singing ATBL during Panama & Wolf corrected hm. Funny as hell.

Even after seeing the youtubes of the shows prior to the San Diego one....the whole pre-show I sat there with my fingers crossed that it didn't hit the fan. It wasn't real until they hit the stage. It aint happening until it really happens. It could still have the plug pulled at any time. A fight? An argument? A tantrum? Fingers crossed & holding my breath now. Fuck....fuck....fuck......fuck.....hurry up roadies....fuck.....fuck.....fuck

    ITS REALLY HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tears of joy. Best I have ever felt in my lifetime was that first 30 seconds seeing them for real. I swear I left my body & my spirit was floating around the arena looking down at myself being a drunk, blubbering, screaming, singing & dancing idiot.

    Good times. Damn good times.

Allstate Arena has been a hotspot for Van Halen so far. They've always knocked the fuckin' walls off of that joint everytime.
agreed as i was there as well!!

    Rosemont was great...no doubt...I was there too...but...

You can't discount Charlotte...the FIRST show with David Lee Roth in 23 years...

    THAT...was magic...and I was there too...

(So, I spent a few bucks traveling and shit on 2007/2008's tour...fuck it...what the problem is?)

Can so totally relate! I saw them at MSG ( a couple of times, plus Mohegan) from the 7th row on 11/13/07. Was about 6 months pregnant and huge! Once they hit the stage, I was jumping around like a 15 year old, crying like a baby. First time I had ever seen the real Mighty VH live, and the feeling was indescribable. Was definitely an 'out-of-body' experience! I thought that was a great show as well - hard to be objective though. Have the DVD, but still - I'm pretty biased.

Agreed - the MN show was stellar. Saw them later in Iowa and was let down.

P.S. Care to share that boot?
