Wow, maybe they'll play back here in 2016 at that frantic pace...
Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.

Those dates opens up for, or at least doesn't rule out, speculations of a festival stint in Europe end of may to mid june, Donnington, Sweden Rock, Nova Rock amongst others
Cool - I honestly didn't expect them to play ANYWHERE again until late 2013. Let's hope there are plenty of boots!

My karma just ran over your dogma.
Yeah right...

Got my fingers crossed for a new stage and set list. Bring back the '84 stage and the hell with how much it costs!!!
American by birth. Southern by the grace of God.
Japan is as good of place as any to road-test the remaining ADKOT tunes that haven't been played live yet...
I would like to see them add a couple more tracks from ADKOT, but it's likely they won't add but replace instead. You and Your Blues and As Is would be great and I think HBSD would appeal to younger fans in Japan.
If Dave, Eddie, Alex & Wolfie don't quit skipping European stages next year, I'll fuck their girlfriends !!!!
This is great news.
Woot!
Ed must be feeling good. I hope Dave has better luck with his voice this time out.
Ideally, what VH should do before going to Japan, is do one of those residency tours in Las Vegas.
That way they could get warmed up, without having to travel with an expensive production. They could do a different set list nightly, and have a cool stage like the friends & family show at Henson Studios Feb, 1, 2012. Then also spice up the show with some snazzy visuals, such as those dancing girls and whatnot.
So far, Motley Crue and Guns & Roses have done well with their residencys, and Def Leppard is also scheduled to do one as well. ( not that I care about those acts too much, just an example of a good idea ).
hey, according to UDO(Japanese promoter), Dave is appearing on the radio show in Japan just right now.
but I can't listen to it!
why???
it's a local broadcast. Tokyo area only.
digital radio dude. covers the whole country. (here, anyway)
Dave and show host.

a friend of mine who lives in Tokyo told me what Dave talked on this show.
"we played at gymnasium when we visited Japan first in 1978 but we are supposed to play at a big stadium on the upcoming tour".
"I haven't been sleeping since '80s"
"I came here with bicycle today"
"the culture of Shitamachi(a Japanese word that means downtown) is great. Van Halen is like Shitamachi"
"I wanna appear on Takeshi Kitano's movie"
"Hey John(show host), take a holiday and let me work here instead of you"
What the fuck is Dave wearing and how long has he been into Japanese men ??
Eat Us And Smile - The Originals
"I have a very belligerent enthusiasm or an enthusiastic belligerence. Im an intellectual slut." - David Lee Roth
"We are part of the, not just the culture, but the geography. Van Halen music goes along with like fries with the burger." - David Lee Roth
Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!
I think that his hairline has always been that way since 2002, he just didn't comb it over. And to me in the back of his head it does kind of seem like he's growing his hair out just a little bit.
I do appreciate that Dave is embracing being in his mid-to-late fifties and not trying his absolutle damndest to look young a la Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone (I swear, every night they must take their faces off and soak them in a jar of formaldehyde) It still amazes me how he is able to do those spinning kicks on stage even on the latest tour, guy must have a hip of iron (Eddie sadly wasn't that lucky)
How do you spell pretentious? S-A-M-M-Y H-A-G-A-R
Har today, gone tommorrow.

Funny when a couple of people mention Dave's ever expanding forehead, that the immediate response is "yeah, but look at......" So fuckin' funny. Intersting to see he doesn't discriminate and will order his men from many different menus, no mystery why he's been spending so much time over in Japan but I doubt the throat exercises he's been doing will help his voice much. Hope he was kidding about taking over the guy's radio show for a while, we already witnessed that train wreck. Maybe the overalls he used to wear were an homage to that? Such a clever boy.
