I've got a bunch of old cassette recordings of WBCN and was looking to burn them to CD. Keep in mind that they are pretty shitty (80s), and were not recorded on the best of equipment, or for that matter on the best of tapes. What's the best stuff out there for this? I see they have small recorders with programs, but I think I need a step up for that. Figured somebody here would know.....
What's da fucks the best cassette to CD/MP3 file coversion out there????

i used Total Recorder when we were recording Dave's radio show. i didn't like the freeware options at the time and the program turned out to be well worth the $18 i paid for it.

I'll agree with twonabomber here - I always used TotalRecorder, and found it easier to use than any other free or paid-for program that I tried for copying tapes, minidiscs, and recording direct from analog radio broadcasts.
Don't know how well it works with newish operating systems, though ...THINK LIKE THE WAVESComment

They've got a video recorder now too, that includes all the functionality of the audio recorder as well. May have to drop the $54 on it.Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.Comment
