It's actually really good. probably my fave too. The production is bone-dry, and Nuno's playing through a Fender Princeton for all but like 2 songs...very odd, clean tone. But the songs are cool and Nuno is of course, ripping.

Nuno rips shit up on this cd. I think it's also Cherone's personal best performance, even though he busts into shrill shrieking every now and then (Naked, No Respect). Mike Mangini, whom I've talked up in a past thread, absolutely kills it on this CD (plays on most of the tunes) and was phenomenal live. '95 was a strange time for rock. Grunge was going out with the tide as fast as it came in, but if any late 80's early 90's band knew what was best for them, they followed through with a little extra dirt on their uniforms. This CD does just that.

You're right. This place should be more of an antidote than a downer. The sad thing is that being a downer is the way some people around here get high. Go figure.

I always liked Nuno and Extreme. But I don't think Cherone fits with VH. He is Great in Extreme, but not VH.
