You never use corn tortillas with just vegetables. The corn ones are for meats. Just ask for flour tortillas next time and it will be more like a peta bread sandwich. You just roll your food up like it's a big joint and eat it. LOL! Don't light it on fire. It probably won't smoke too good.
Next time tell them to get that corn out of your face!
professor nitro in da house... don't try lightin' dem burritos!
There is vegetarian type of meat that many places use. I can eat nachos, but I rather have some with a flavor like chili or cheddar, just to mask the corn taste.
I am really conservative when it comes to food, that's why I'm careful with the mexican stuff... And avocado. But my dad is FAR worse, he can't even eat lasagne or anything else that is creamy and gooey. He hates all sorts of sauces and dressings, doesn't eat any stews or anything...
Well after you are drunk and stoned and have the munchies at 3:00AM you might actually try and light your food on fire.
After spending part of my childhood in Hong Kong and spending quite a bit of time in South America, if it tastes good I don't ask questions. The Chinese eat every part of the pig but the squeal. I used to eat birds nest soup and I thought that was just the name of it. Later I found out it's made from a bird's nest. It tasted good. It's probably better you don't know what you are eating. LOL!
The worst food on the planet is in Peru. Try eating dirty cow's stomach that stinks. Nasty. Guinea pig isn't bad. Scewered beef heart is probably the best thing there. Sometimes you might luck out and find some decent sea food on the coast.
Yeah my wife is picky. I don't think she would handle some of those remote places too good. Heck, she would be paranoid as hell at a traditional Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong. My kids aren't picky. They will eat escargot no problem but then what they really are after is the sorbet.
One of the nastiest things I ever ate was a raw sea cucumber. Pure slime that tastes like bad pussy.
You can make the regular tomato based salsa then. Its kind of fun to play around with the ingredients and get it the way you like. One summer I grew these hot peppers that were really stinking hot. I mean if you put just one in like a quart of salsa it would blow your head off. You have a few disasters and then you find the right combination that works for you.
I can't eat liver either. In a biology lab in college I found out why. Some people can taste the thiouriea in liver. They handed out little strips of paper and had us taste them. Some people didn't taste anything and others were sicking out. The professor then said you guys that taste something bad don't like liver do you? So that is why some people love liver and others can't tolerate it.
I couldn't understand it either but the people who like it don't taste what we taste. People's body chemistry is different. That's why some perfumes smell good on one person and horrible on another. That's why drugs that work with one person can have bad side effects on another. It's why we have allergies.
It's probably a big reason people like different kinds of foods. We aren't tasting the same thing. Sure we can tell if something is sweet or salty but it's those complex flavors we probably taste differently.
I just googled this and this explains A LOT!!! We all eat a lot of greens in my family and I love spinach and so. But I can't stand one sort of cabbage, it translates to collard greens but I'm not sure it's correct. Anyway when we were homeless and didn't have any food, we would get these and I'd rather go hungry then eat them. So my parents would try and force me to eat it. I'd eat and gag on every bite, until they gave up. But now I just read that the people who can't stand liver also can't eat some green vegetables. It DOES have the same strong taste as the liver does.
This is the vegetable from hell:

Those are collard greens. They are popular in the southern United States but they mix other things in with them. I like them. Collards will grow in hot climates and cool climates and they grow fast. They are loaded with nutrients. A lot of people store some collard seeds in their emergency kits. It beats starving and when the chips are down it's good emergency food. You parents knew what they were doing.
Spinach is good. It needs a cool climate to do well. It probably grows great in Sweden. I live just south of Yellowstone National Park so we have all the wildlife and if you plant anything, they eat it. I tried to grow spinach and a moose came in and ate it all. He ate all the aspen trees I planted on our lot too.
Collards aren't good til after the first frost. I love them when cooked right.
My tickets in the mail yet?
Lol
We ate collard greens just cooked. Only that. We were in Serbia back then, and we had sanctions, so all import and export was forbidden. When you live in central Belgrade, that kind of is a problem. So the only thing that was on the shelves in the grocery stores was mustard. ONLY mustard.
I still rather ate just bread and mustard then the collard greens.
They grew fantastic in balkans.
I love spinach though. Prepared like they eat it in Dalmatia. Cooked in water and seasoned with some salt and olive oil. There is nothing better.
I made Korean styled collard greens and they were awesome. The traditional smoked turkey soul food American styled collards are good too. They are pretty bland just boiled.
Collards grow like a weed. That's probably why the store had them in stock. They grow fast. I guess during the great depression in this country people planted them because they couldn't afford food. So I guess collards are the when the shit hits the fan emergency staple.
Beats eating the dandelions out of the lawn. LOL!

My relatives in Montenegro have plenty of it growing around. My mom loves it, but there is none here in Sweden. I don't think they even have a name for it here. Nothing grows here. Too cold.
I feel like eating vegetarian bolognese. Maybe I'll make it later. I make a FANTASTIC bolognese.
Did Lard tell you that ??

Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!
plantain and clovers...
ClaraThome is eating shit right now.
I thought that bolognese had meat in it by definition.???
On another subject, I gained five points really quickly in the past week or so - and then discovered it was because I was eating dried fruit. Do you know that one apricot has 100 calories? Holy shit how I've been screwing up my diet without knowing it.
Oh dear.
