What is most mind-boggling here is not that Wolfgang Van Halen has earned the cover of Bass Player magazine, it's that such a publication exists in the first place. What's next, a monthly rag devoted to drummers?

By the way, there is a great article about what gauge picks the band uses in an upcoming issue of Guitar Pick magazine.
Now there's a magazine that would run out of folks to put on the cover in about 6 months.
Bob Dylan.....Mick Jagger......Bono (Joshua Tree/Rattle and Hum era).....Mike Peters of The Alarm.....Magic Dick from the J Geils Band.....
Think after that, the magazine would pretty much go out of business.

And it was Rolling Stone's previous insistence of putting Titney Spears and N'Suck on their cover which caused me to cancel my subscription. Still like some of their political articles, but I can read those online for free, and not finance Jann Wenner's bubblegum enabling.
